Fantastic win tonight, I was really thinking we would snatch a draw but three points is very welcome.

This is my first post but have followed 606, etc for a while now.

Has anyone watched the game over the interweb? How did we play? I have heard that Lover hands went of with a hamstring problem - is this true?

    Welcome dude! <badger>

We played well going forward, Guttierez crossed for both goals, Best was great, got on the end of most things. Jose and Barton were a bit shaky but still showed some real class at times. Birmingham were quite tough but their play in the final third was just scrappy and lacked quality. Lover went off injured and reports are suggesting his hamstring is kaput. Best also went off limping after stretching for a ball.

Decent display overall against a resilient side, only the fifth team to beat Brum at St.Andrews in one and a half seasons.

SSN just showed interview with Pardew and he didn't sound concerned about either injury. Said one had taken a blow to the thigh and the other had run himself into the ground and couldn't move anymore. Didn't say which was which, but he didn't mention hamstrings ... so hopefully nothing to worry about!

Thought it was the landing on the pitch that had done both of them, so lets hope Donkey's right. Lovenkrands played his best game for a while.

Lovenkrands looked like he got a strain, he could still walk off which is encouraging. Leon Best looked to get another dead leg with the defender kneeing him after being outjumped for the billionth time that night. 11 days to rest them!

Any news on Sol Campbell? He must be ****ed after that run out! Only joking, how much weight has he lost?!?
