Just thought you guys would like to know,it is with much sadness that i have to tell you that after a long illness,my old mate Hammer(aka Micky)passed away last week.As always he kept fighting to the bitter end,and was still always reading posts on here even though he could no longer respond to any of them.He was a great guy and a true hoopton,he will be sadly missed.
Another sad loss, one of a number I haven't seen on here for a while but that explains it in his case. Deepest sympathy to his family...
Tragic news Sutton, thank you for letting us know. By same strange quirk of fate I was only thinking about him earlier today. As I was scrolling through one of the Macca tribute threads I saw his name and wondered where he was. I even clicked on his name to see when he last logged on. Although I didn’t know Micky I did regard him as a cyber friend as we seemed to connect on various issues. He was a great thread starter in the quiet spells, international weekends and the alike. Please pass our deepest condolences to his family and friends RIP Hammy
Very sad to hear this news. RIP Hammersmith Hoopton. Never met him in person but remember him as a good and interesting poster.
This is truly terrible news. Hammy and I used to exchange the odd Pm to each other a while ago. It was not long after he put up a sad post about his father-in-law suffering a fatal heart attack after the Norwich away game in Nov 2011. I wondered why we hadn't heard from him recently. What a great loss, he was a much respected and valued contributor on here. Thanks for letting us know Sutton. Please can you send our condolences to his family, especially Hammy's poor wife. She is aware of who we are. As demonstrated in this link ..... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/105638-Many-Thanks Thanks mate.
My condolences to his family. One of many old names not to be seen for a while, what a sad reason for it. RIP brother in hoops.
It's been a bad last 6 months for us hoops and in particular this board. RIP HH and any assistance you can give us from above will be greatly appreciated. PS. Please say hello to Brix
Another tragic loss. That's 3 in the space of a few weeks. Condolances to his family and RIP Hammersmith.
Another one of life's cruel blows - I hope that his family and friends can find inner strength through this very testing time! RIP
RIP to a poster i never knew but was a fellow R. Sounds like he was another valued member. Thoughts with his family and friends.
