I've just had a speculative few quid on Billy Davies becoming the next Hammers boss at 20/1 (W.Hills). Forest have just been done by the Swans, and as us Northenders already know, Davies has a tendancy to always be looking for the next best thing.
As it stands, those odds look great value and I reckon Davies is probably the type of manager the Hammers need and could possibly be sniffing around now that Forest are out. You heard it here first

    Afternoon lilywhite..<ok>

I agree that is a good price and with Billy you just never know..:emoticon-0112-wonde
Mawene really rates him highly and has stated that BD is the best Championship coach he has played under. Not sure how the Hammers chairman and board would view his CV etc, but they could do a lot worse and he would deffinately make them into promotion contenders. Yep well worth a punt at those odds...<ok>

    Good evening Plumbs <ok>

I agree with you, he has a great track record in this division (is it five playoffs? Two with us, one with Derby and two with Forest) Tremendous rate of success in just a few seasons as manager and even without the top players that are expected to leave West Ham, he would still have a strong squad to work with.
He can get the very beat out of players under him and gets the team to work together as a very tight unit.
With the potential that the Hammers have, new stadium (lots of empty seats this year though!) and their track record with their youth set up, it could be something that appeals to Davies. If he were to apply for the post, then Gold and Sullivan would have to seriously take a look at him as a leading candidate. They'd be mad not to.

If my bet does come in, then it'll be a season ticket back in the STF for me, if it doesn't, then it's the Town End so it won't hurt too much if it goes down the drain.

Glad I got it at 20/1, it's down to 14's now
