    They sound a bit wobbly....<whistle>

    The Dark Side!

The Hammers go into the final fixture of the season, against Hull, hoping that Coventry can pull off a result against Southampton.

A Coventry win, coupled with a West Ham win over Hull, would see West Ham take that second place. A draw between Southampton and Coventry would require West Ham to win by four clear goals to gain automatic promotion.

If, as many suspect, Southampton beat already relegated Coventry, then we`re left to chase that vital third promotion place through what can only be described as the lottery process that is the play-offs, whereby form over a whole season is turned into a mini-cup campaign.

Looking on the dark side, one tabloid is suggesting that if West Ham don`t attain promotion a clear-out could commence to reduce what is claimed to be a £33 million wage-bill.

The tabloid goes onto infer that Robert Green will be the first to be shifted whilst it is likely that Mark Noble and Carlton Cole, both of whom have a year left on their contracts, will also be sold off.

Best we not go to this dark side then!

And if they do beat us 4-0 and Brighton beat Barnsley away we drop to ninth. Hence the reason it would have been better if they drew at Leicester the other night.

    Correct.

IF West Ham dont go up then there will be a firesale as the owners have already said as much months ago. They went for it this season to get back to the big money needed to pay off there massive debts. Failure means ARMAGEDDON (Golds words) for them.

Robert Green is out of contract this summer and i would suggest that many others will be sold not only to reduce the wage bill but also to service the massive debt they have. Karen Brady said that it had risen to over £88m for this season after the likes of Vaz Ta and Maynard were signed up.

Pressure for the Hammers What pressure.!!!!

They have been ****e at home. I watched them v Brum, they were garbage, had it not been for a dodgy pen awarded to West Ham, they would have lost. I think we can go there and get a result, defend like trojans, attack like warriors <laugh>

    It's all irrelevant anyway.

There is no chance of Coventry beating Southamption.

I was in london for the millwall game a few weeks back. And got talking to a family of west ham fans in the pub later on two of them was convinced they was going up auto the other three was convinced they would blow it in the play offs.It was funny listening to them argue with each other i hope they **** it up.One thing they all agreed on was they dont like the way they have played most games this season . Can see us turning them over

I heard a report of Karen Brady saying their finances were 'cause for concern'. They absolutely need to go up.

So, the pressure is on them - to win on Saturday or, more likely, in the play-offs.

    Very wobbly...!

If we lose 4-0 to them, we deserve to end up 9th.

I wonder how much they'll want for Green? Id rate him higher than Mannone, he was the main difference when we played them earlier in the season, he was very good at getting in the way of the ball. Fooker.

Oh and all my WH mates are agreed on one thing, they will not qualify via the playoffs. Its not just not trying to jinx themselves bollocks either, they genuinely believe that.

Mannone is due to check in to Butlins at Minehead on Saturday night at 7 o clock. Rosenior 's got the train booked fot Blackpool at 7.26. Fryatt is looking at houses Saturday and Sunday morning. Chester, Evans and Brady already have the lilos blown up and ready. If West Ham need to win 14-0, they will!

It's understandable the Porn Kings would vote against FFP. Hope they're worrying.

Bit torn on this one - Ive nowt against West Ham and would hate to see them in a financial mess if they dont go up but on the flipside they have spent WILDLY on wages this season adding to an already inflated wage bill. They knew the consequences and signing Vaz Te and Maynard when you've already got England international Cole, Carew and Baldock (off the top off my head) is some investment when others such as us in the same division are living off scraps. So if it doesnt pay off then I think - tough.

Plus - I fookin hate Sam Allardyce. One of the most offensive, arrogant football men I have met. He refers to himself as Big Sam in the third person, tells you everything you need to know.
