I have set this thread up, to give those who slagged LH off to the high heavens for leaving a title challeging McLaren to go to Rubbish Mercedes etc etc a chance to post a messages saying that maybe they got it wrong. Come on people lift that fork and eat a slice
Agreed... After the friction from last weekend, I don't think we need to stir the pot any. Anyway... we like the freedom to rub Kyle's nose in it across many threads rather than being confined to just one.
Come on he weren't the only one, and jesus what are you two doing up at this gtime of night, get to bed
If we're eating humble pie, Lewis needs a slice as well! He was pretty open about expecting to struggle. I don't think the win is really the big watershed moment anyway. We've known since testing that the merc is a much better car than the McLaren.
Come on how can LH et humble pie, he said it would be astruggle and it has been. However everyone and his gran was calling him an idiot and saying that button with number one spot would crush him. Come on dig in you know you should.
I really don't want to get too exited about Hamilton's win to be honest. If anything I was more relived by it. I'll get excited if it looks like this was more than just a one off and he's looking like he could challenge Vettel for the title this year. The picture could change post summer. All in all... I was happy that Hamilton won, but I'm not going to start jumping up and down just yet.
Good good, I knew this combination would work given time but lets not get ahead of ourselves as there's still half a season to go and many things can happen during then. Also Norbert Haug should be thanked by Lewis that the team is where it is because he always said it would take 4-5 years for the Mercedes development to kick into high gear at that team. He did his job well but sadly being fired early and unable to reap the full glory for it.
funny, considering Hamilton himself rolled his eyes and sneered at the idea of moving to Mercedes when Bernie first suggested it to him.
Sounds like a trip down the clap clinic if you have cheese coming out. Have you got footage of Hamilton rolling his eyes when Bernie told him he was going to Mercedes? Anyway, does it matter? He's done better than most thought he would and that's the point of the thread. Against all expectation, it was the right move away from McLaren when you look at where they are this season.
uh-huh and why does that matter? you can say that about practically anyone on the grid at some point. The difference of course being he's been so absurdly fortunate to have a race winning capable car every year he's been in F1. Also you could argue Rosberg has done far better than most thought he would compared to Hamilton yet of course nobody really cares to acknowledge that because it could hint at the fact that Lewis isn't as good as is widely assumed and repeatedly claimed.
aw, now who's bitter? As for your Rosberg point, it has been acknowledged many times on here about how well he has stood up against Hamilton. Please at least read the forum before casting general dispersions of that nature otherwise you look a bit daft.
