They cut the burger in half so that the hot dog sausage runs through the middle but maybe there is an opportunity here to get a different patent to have the whole burger but with a cut sausage either side. Instead of combining the words hamburger and hotdog to get Hamdog it could be a hotdog/hamburger hybrid called a Dogger. Imagine coming home with special sauce dribbling down your chin and the wife says "I suppose you've been Dogging again"
