The Halfway House on Spring Bank West is still open (regardless of what I'd been told earlier..) as we had a couple of pints there before the Boro game last Monday. Went with my bro-in law and 8 year-old nephew who is the newest 'tiger' in the family.. he now wants a shirt for his birthday.. result!

As I don't get over to England too often this was my first game of the season and a great pleasure to watch the lads end their losing streak.. Obviously we didn't beat Watford on saturday but the foundations are in place for a better crack next season..

Atmosphere was fine, we were in the south stand.. no probs apart from some fool who was slagging off Stewart big time with "Eff off Stewart" when he misplaced a pass in time-added on.. we don't need plonkers like that, the stewards were watching .. anyway re the atmosphere perhaps it helps when the opposition are almost a derby, bring a shed load & are a play-off rival (were!)

heavy rain on way back to car doesn't seem so wet when you've won..
