We need to enjoy the last few months of Rafa boys and girls. Surprise surprise the fat bastard has ****ed off on holiday now and left Rafa ‘hoping’ to have transfer talks with the club as we already look to cheaper alternatives to Almiron. It really is Groundhog Day like.... You wonder why fatty still pedals the same ****e year after year. Surely even he realises he’s been rumbled? When Rafa walks when his contract ends there will be hell on.
He's had ups and downs, but overall he's been a great success and I will wish him well for the future. One of the best managers we have had in our history, never mind Ashley's tenure... Still no Chrissy Hughton tho Now... Where is Big Sam
He's done a good job and has been the perfect manager for our situation. His tactical nous has seen us do very well. He wouldn't be my pick of manager if money wasn't an issue. I'd want more entertaining football and attacking intent. However for just about every other scenario with us he's a perfect fit with his defensive counter attack style getting us to punch above our weight. I wouldn't worry. I think he will stay for at least 2 more years. However it has to be acknowledged that at his age you're hardly looking to waste years living in hope.
I think he would stay if there was any prospect that he would not be fighting a relegation battle every season he sticks with us. As it is, though, he can leave for a much more satisfying job having enhanced his reputation and shown himself an honourable manager who fulfils his commitments. 2020 he'll be managing Champions League club again.
He won’t leave, l won’t allow it Seriously l really believe that Rafa wants to stay and hopefully there will be a glimmer of hope enough to see that happen.
Ashley does have a mobile phone and maybe even a fax! But let's not let that stop us from having a good rant.
Our next manager will be straight off the merry go round of turd. Bruce, Hughes, Allardyce, Lambert, Pulis etc.
Or TalkTalk broadband... Rafa comes across as such a lovely bloke. I know it's a bit of a PR piece, but I love the idea of him watching Fawlty Towers to learn English, hearing Manuel and saying to himself "Hey, he doesn't sound Spanish, he's Italian!" https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46655413
