Seems like only yesterday that our beloved East End was torn down.
Our Reds played in a weird ground with a huge gap one end with that guy watching stood on his shed.
City with few (understandable) resources playing an exciting and successful brand of football that made Saturday the best day of the week.

On reflection probably the best time watching since the AD days.
    Thanks Cotts.

The 'Shedman', success, goals, cups, promotion and league champions, got to admit I drift back to them there days, so I also say "Thanks Cotts" but he has gone and he is now only a memory, we are where we are at a higher level and we have got to thrive again and move forward.

LJ it seems is still Steve Lansdown guy, so we have to hope he can still do the job, I, at the risk of boring everybody have always said I support Bristol City FC and I do and will continue to do so although, I still don't attend games so people have every right to tell me to piss off to my armchair.

After all it's only a game, now I will try to remember where is my dark room.

We were a big fish in a small sea back then - fun indeed.
We are now a medium fish in a medium sea - much harder, with times of fun but also (as now) times of frustration and disappointment.
If we get to the Prem we'd be a small fish in a big sea - VERY hard indeed - with hardly any fun times and mostly fighting to avoid relegation and being utterly humiliated by the top teams.

If Lee Johnsons squad gets any bigger another stand will have to be built to keep it in ..

Spot on that is........Maybe some would be happier to drop down a league with a different man in charge and a smaller budget!! IMO backwards!!

It doesn't always work out. You only have to look how hard the likes of Sunderland and Portsmouth are having to work right now just to stay in the top half of L1.
We know that the 2 outstanding teams in this league are Leeds and West Brom. It's whether we have the ability to rise above our level of being consistently inconsistent to end up in the top 6 come May.
I have serious doubts as to whether this is possible at the moment, and if we fail, then LJ should replaced regardless, and before that, if we continue to under perform and lose game after game. The shield the owner seems to have put around him since day 1 simply can't last forever.
Players, Managers, Chairmen/Owners come and go. The only constant is the club that I will always follow.

I think with the way football is at the minute, we need the likes of Landsdown to keep us afloat, hopefully when he's no longer interested or is no longer with us, another rich person that loves the club the way that he does comes in......otherwise, who's to say, we don't end up like the Gas or worse Bury?
We've never been in such good shape as a club....would never want to go back to the dark days...
Again, it goes back to the saying "be careful in what you wish for"

I came back to the modern world after 2 weeks to see we had won 1 , after 4 losses and lost 1 … then saw we played 10 men for 77 mins against Brentford a team in a purple patch … having expected that to be a draw .. a draw v SHREWS was a disappointment but it is the cup! we are only 3 points from top 6 with the possibility we could be top 6 come sunday night if results go for us ……….
every year at 0001 on 1st January my resolution [ first one ] is PMA ….. 2) do as much as possible to help others 3) collect at least 3 binliners of rubbish from beach's / beauty spots walks/ paths etc I visit 4)
