If we had not lost 5-0 on the opening day, would we still be signing these quality players during the last few days of the transfer deadline?
That is a very, very good question. Whatever the answer, 5-0 certainly focussed some minds, in my view.
That Sir is a very good question. I personally think no we wouldn't. Or at least not on this scale, one or two additions maybe. I even think TF and Hughes stated this before the season kicked off. Was it not part of the '' We've done our business early speil? ''
Of course we would. I'm sure Hughes would have loved to have signed these players earlier, but some transfers didn't work out, and some players don't become available till the transfer window is due to shut. But thankfully we won't have to put up with all the rumours for much longer and we can just enjoy the next few months until the window opens again in January.
I think our results will improve game by game. City won't have it all their own way on Saturday. Enjoy ESPN, I think I'll have to find a pub somewhere that shows it
we could all see that we were lacking in certain positions after those first 2 games I think Hughes will get it right but it may take a few games to get it together Even if we lose the next 3 games I believe we will be challenging for a top 10 finish this season
I think the board left MH with some room to move just in case it didn't go right at the start of the season. Good businessmen always have contingency plans. We clearly have funding capacity and it's just a case of using it up. I'm sure there is method in the madness.
