Apparently he has killed a friend who was a rapper, who was on holiday at his home in Ghana as part of a ritual killing to progress his career. Thats what I heard anyway.

The Ghanian superstar disappeared while on holiday with Gyan in late July, along with Janet Badu. Both were presumed to have drowned, but speculation surrounding Castro's death has been rife due to the fact his body has not been found. The lack of a body has sparked rumours in Ghana that Gyan, who left the Premier League in 2012, performed a human sacrifice on the rapper.
I read about this the other day. The rumour is pretty widespread in Ghana, but it's only a rumour. Gyan hasn't been interviewed by police, and there is no real evidence for it. Lack of a body suggests we haven't found it yet, and nothing more than that.
