http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7670151/ Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has revealed striker Asamoah Gyan is unlikely to return to the club following his loan in the Middle East. The Ghana international moved to the Stadium of Light in a £13million deal from French side Rennes two years ago and hit 10 goals in his debut season in the Premier League. However, the 26-year-old made a shock move to United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain on a season-long loan deal last September. Those deals were done under previous Black Cats manager Steve Bruce, with O'Neill only moving into the Stadium of Light hotseat in December. The former Leicester boss had suggested back in January that he would be keen to see Gyan, who still has two years left on Sunderland contract, return to Wearside in time for next season. Unwilling However, he admits the impression he is getting currently suggests the striker is unwilling to make the move back.
He's only on loan which finishes soon... They either buy him or return him, as man handled goods.....and return cos he's ****e.. Me i hope he get's sun stoke in the desert and butt ****ed by a horny Dromedary.
He is under contract, If we dont want to sell him (or get a price we want) he comes back and plays, or comes back and rots in the reserves. Honestly, why have contracts these days, they dont mean **** all.
we would be crazy to bring him back and put him in the reserves, but you are correct, contracts mean nowt, they're just an insurance policy
I would sort of agree with the crazy part, but probably 2 million a year, if i was a billionaire thats chicken feed (im not so its a hell of a lot of money) and i do have a nasty streak in me, so the twat can rot in the reserves for me (that is if we cant sell him for the money we want for him)
Supposedly we have received an offer for £16 mil from a club in the UAE which isn't the club he is currently on loan at, if so, BIDDING WAR! could potentially get £20mil+ if that rumour is true
Where you get this from? as is it still referring to the old story of a bid from another Arab club? Gyan will never bring in another £15m as well as his loan fee........................................
it was on Sky Sports a little while back, remember sitting in a pub and it coming along the bottom bar tbh i would take £10-12mil very happily
Best case scenario is we get £10m + for him and he's a gonna. Reckon we could get a partnership of Fletcher and Odemwinge for around £10m
Get what we can for him and get rid. Can't see us getting some of the ammounts being bandied about , but if anyone offers £10 mill we should take their hand off.
That means we are on the look out for two strikers in the summer. If Bendtner is available for £4 million and assuming he would like to stay then I feel it would be a good start to make his move permanent. If we can make Bendtner permanent and retain Sessegnon then we could make a good start by bringing one more proven striker onboard although two would be nice. If we lose both then along with the Gyan money we could see quite a lot of action this summer.
