Does this mean a longish injury for Mannone again?

good move but a bit surprising, if I was Guzan and had been told thanks but no thanks once Vito got fit, only to be asked back a few days later i'd have pied NP big time, still can't argue he's better than Duke or Oxley

Middlesbrough had tried to pinch him out from under us, but no luck! Pretty pleased with our goalkeeper situation considering they currently have a 17 year old as first choice keeper!

We've only got him for one month though, due to loan rules we can no longer extend it any further this season.

Ah right, that's disapointing. Still, hopefully someone to consider in the summer?

Mannone should be fit in under a month if it's a thigh strain.. good cover Brad.. NP clearly doesn't trust Duke or unwilling to risk unknown Oxley... I'd have begged Tranmere for Tony Warner but Nige knows best...

With Guzan coming back, is there any word on Mannone? ie how long he is expected to be out & is he now going back to Arsenal while injured

If we couldn't tie down Manonne i'd be more than happy if we got Guzan.
Have to say i always had a soft spot for Altidore, don't ask me why!

Guzan is not half bad, and is decent enough, i rate Mannone higher but for now we have to live with this. However i still feel sorry for Oxley we sold him at a time when we grew massively in stature as a club, he needed a low Championship team to try getting some game time, i hope he gets one due to the fact as he a young international at some point and was highly related so he must have some talent!

It's a keeper though, things like the loan deadline don't apply to to keepers (if you're left with only 1 fit keeper you can sign anther regardless of time) so we could possibly get dispensation if we needed to.

it rather depends how things were explained to him doesnt it. at the end of the day its playing time and shop window in a team that is doing well and thats got to be good for his longer term outlook if his villa days are numbered. if he enjoyed being here it shouldnt be a problem to come back and he must still be a possible for a permanent at summer if we cant get mannone or even if we do.

Though this is true(and I stand corrected as I already mentioned), we can't get Guzan again as we've already used all our lives on that loan.

If that is true, OLM, I am sure, NP will have another keeper up "his sleeve", in reserve, to go for if Mannone isn't fit, when Guzan has to go back.<cool>

Why do you think that The Tigers can chose anyone and that who ever is chosen will be desperate to join permanently ? They are loan players !!!!!
