Totally gutted at that result. Never, ever did Chelsea deserve to win that!
Their only shot on target and they ****ing score. Typical!!

I'm very proud of the way our players worked and worked today. All the outfield players put in maximum effort and totally stopped one of the best sides in Europe playing.
I wasn't sure about the line up, but it was inspired with Henry on the left. We were never going to attack much, but our midfield never let them play and Charlie worked hard dropping into the hole at times too.

BUT..............**** me Green has to be the worst goalkeeper on the ground. His kicking has been terrible all season. Time after time he kicked the ball straight out, he then threw the ball straight to a Chelsea player and then, to cap it off, with only a couple of minutes left, he totally slices a drop kick out of his hands. For ****'s sake, all he had to do was clear it into the corner and let us try to stay solid, but no, he has to cock up his kick yet again!!
All that effort turned to ****. We really deserved better!!

    Player ratings and comments:

Green - 4 - Cost us the game and kicked terribly all game (and all season!).
Isla - 7 - Kept Hazard quiet when the Belgian was on his side. One of his best games defensively.
Caulker - 6 - Better from him, although Drogba won nearly all the headers.
Onuoha - 7 - Bad distribution at times, but very solid.
Hill - 6 - Battled hard and was never done by Hazard when he switched sides.
Phillips - 6 - Should have scored. Powder puff in the air losing to Fabrregas and Azpilicueta in the air on a regular basis. Strolled back when we lost possession. Crosses too close to the keeper. Worked hard at times.
Barton - 7 - Excellent again. Never stopped working.
Sandro - 8 - Immense in the middle and easily his best game for us.
Henry - 7 - Did really well playing out of position and never let Ivanovic into the game.
Austin - 6 - Worked hard, but was poor on the ball at times.
Zamora - 5 - Didn't really get any change out of Terry and Cahil.

    Subs:
Kranjcar - 6 - Held onto possession well when he came on.
Hoilett - 6 - Didn't have much time. Worked hard but still messed up a couple of crosses.

Col I am sure that all the players should go up at least 2 points in your ratings today if you compare to previous games. Not that I keep note of all your ratings, although I am sure swords does, but today they worked their arses off even Joey!

I always get criticised for marking too high Cate so you may be right. Maybe one or two should be higher.

    Spot on RE Green.

That description of M Phillips makes me wonder if you were watching the game at all mate. MOTM by far imo. He was outstanding.

Well I agree best game from Sandro by a mile. But Joey was quite amazing today and I don't even like him, he deserved MoM. I know I only watched on tv and you were there so saw so much more, but I just thought today I was quite pleased ( oh I hope I don't choke on these words) that Joey Barton played for us!

What exactly did Phillips do to make him MOTM by far?
Sandro and Barton were our best two players...by far!

Probably not a lot to choose between Sandro and Barton and maybe, as Barton played the whole game he could have had the 8 out of 10. They were both immense in there today.

Swords I have asked you before to play nice with everyone on this board and you just can't resist a wind up.

Philips did some good things today but also made some mistakes, Joey and Sandro were the MEN today for sure!

Everything we created came down his side. He was a constant thorn in their side. Beat players many times and laid off ball. He was the closest we came to scoring and without his crosses we have nothing. (Barton & Sandro were top class too).

The fact you gave Toilet the same mark even though all he managed was to cross the ball straight to their nearest player twice when he came on, beggars belief.

M Phillps has more assists than any PL player this year and you're still laying into him and telling us Toilet is PL class!!! You're for the birds pal <doh>

I'm not on the wind up. The only winding that should be done here is you winding your neck in!

Yeh, Sandro, Barton and Phillips were all very good. Mr Ramsey deserves a lot of honour for that performance. We were very well set up and executed brilliantly. Deserved a point against the Champions no doubt. Proud, yes. We know we can beat anyone now and stay up. Green made a bad mistake but then so did the ones who were about our best, but they don't play Keeper lucky lads.

....but that's what teams of Chelsea's standard do though. That's why they are where they are and what they are....2015 Champions elect.

Oh sod off Tramore. I was in the middle of a serious debate with someone over a player and someone else jumps in saying I'm on the wind up.

Its obvious its a serious debate not long after an emotional game. If somebody can't see that then its not my problem.

Does that conversation involve QPRCates neck too.
Funny your conversations always involve WUMing people and being abusive doesn't it.

Oh we're all very raw alright. I seen you have a right go at someone on the MD thread and you're a MOD!

There was no wum involved in Matt Phillips. In fact, I'd say COL is the only one in the ground to have thought he didn't play well. If you honestly thought my description of Matt Phillps' performance was a wum attempt then you need to step down cos you don't know what you're doing.

Oh do get off your high horse Swords being abusive to another poster who doesn't agree with you is out of order.....wind your neck in and cut out the personal abuse.....that's all......

From what I saw I think DT has it about right at post 13.....
