First half kept at them did not give them the space to get on the ball. However we could not score,QPR were average first half, they did not cause us too many problems. Second half we could not keep up the same tempo as first half,QPR were starting to show some class, but did not really trouble us too much. The goal was a corker, but up in the Dolman A, it looked like Fielding should have done better. We deserved our equaliser,we gave as good as we got. If we could play like that on a regular basis we would be fine. Thought the team played well. Charlton game is massive on boxing day,we need to win it. Charlie Austin was not required, and it seems was rested, what a lovely position to be in. Today i thought we played well,i left the gate happy and was well pleased with a draw, against prem quality players. Three or four quality signings, would make a massive difference to our results.
Nice comeback from going a goal down, when that happened I feared the worst, overall disappointed we didn't win especially with how we played first half, I was surprised how poor QPR was, I think Austin was injured that's maybe why he wasn't involved.
I thought the way the crowd applauded Cotts at the end showed where the majority of the supporters loyalty lies. Don't think QPR was poor, I hate that expression because we know that they ain't poor, we matched them and put them on the back foot making people think they were poor. Remember RR you said we would get dicked.
I think the majority of fans did, certainly all around me thought 2 or 3 nil to QPR. Credit to the boys, they certainly gave a good performance today, and a special mention for cotts, keep that up and we should be fine.
Nice to hear the positivity from you all and let's hope 3 points against Charlton will take us into the New Year with a sense of optimism. We need to break away from the teams below us to create a gap of 6-8 points so by mid January we may have moved even further up the table to increase the chances of survival. When you can lose a game or two without getting sent to the bottom three the chances of staying in the Championship increase dramatically. That safety valve should be high on our priorities.
For you to see some of the highlights http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/10105017/bristol-city-1-1-qpr
after Derby game, very impressed by the boys reaction and performance today. Really thought apart from first 5-10 mins and 10-15mins in second half we were much better than QPR. The most impressive thing for me though was the reaction of City fans at the game today, throughout, but especially at the end. The loud energetic applause and even the singing of there's only one Steve Cottrell was great to hear and very positive IMHO. I think if you listen to SC after the game, this meant a massive amount to him especially today, so finally to ALL at the gate today.............. .................... WELL DONE
Thanks for the link ROD but I watch the games on Bristol City Player the next day. Also hope to see some live games on BEIN Sports channel which has jjst been introduced over here, at a cost.
Good to see you giving the lads some praise RR, surely you must have more faith in Cotts after todays performance, he certainly is the man for us. In Cotts we trust.
Praise where it is due Big John, done well today against a qpr side full of quality. Well pleased with the responce after the drubbing at Derby.
When it went 1-0 my head dropped... Glad the players didn't. Thought it was just typical and summed our season up that the first time QPR get a sniff they score, then when they hit the cross bar I thought it was game over... So glad when we equalised but really wasn't expecting it, could have one it at the death too. Not sure why it all kicked off from where I was sat. I thought it was a boring game myself, 1st half was ok but the 2nd was dull, lacked any excitement. Need to step it up against Charlton as they may be in the relegation zone but I can see it being a harder game. They usually come to our patch and take all 3 home, we need to make sure we win as I don't see another 3 points on the horizon until the preston game...
Don't know if he's on about a guy dressed up as Farther Christmas and a guy in a white hoodie in the Atyeo, but seemed interesting with the police involved
From the south stand it looked like after the goal mouth scramble right at the end of the game a few handbags were thrown, looked like Flint?
Ahhhh players, qpr did not get there own way today, probably a bit of frustration kicking in,bet they thought they only had too turn up for the points.
