Well i didn't go, any chance of an indepth post on the game? Well from anyone who went, anything to add. Can't really tell over the radio.
What can I say - they just weren't there tonight (and I was wishing I wasn't, either!) A few flashes of good , passing football, but never looked like scoring. Mannone was at fault for their first but kept the margin down later. Thought Mclean, Chester, Rosenior and Stewart were poor compared to my last sight of them at Brighton - and we have no-one to replace Koren as the creative force in midfield. On this showing we will not go up, but if we can build on this young side and (big if) find /develop a striker then I think we'll be in with a shout next year. We have to keep our good youngsters though
Defence: dreadful, slow, disjointed. No-one taking charge. Worst i have ever seen Rosenior (and the rest). Midfield: pathetic. Stewart and Brady are becoming useless show ponies. We were always second to every ball. Attack: what attack? King, McLean, Fryatt (felt a bit sorry for Fryatt with no service). No decent attacking play, far too slow in our build up. No penetration. Poor defending. No heart. Tactics: a joke. I've always been a big fan of Barmby but that was shocking. We'll finish in the lower half of the table on that display. It didn't look like the players wanted to be there. Can't believe Barmby was saying that "it all starts from the front" when talking about subbing Fryatt. Drop the current system play two strikers properly. I'd say play the two wingers but both kids (Stewart/Brady) play like boys. Play 3 at the front? Mannone Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dudgeon Cairney Mckenna Evans McLean Fryatt Simpson Although no-one on that list can say that their play tonight warrants another game (maybe McKenna?)
How do people manage to pick up Blunderside from a million miles away? And Fryatt was the only one who did anything right tonight, which was probably the reason he got subbed off.
They either subscribe to Tigers Player because the match commentaries on there are the Blunderside broadcasts, or if they're tight like I am they use this link: http://hullcitylive.co.uk/jtv.html
I mean when they go to away games yet still manage to hear the post match interviews. I know about the radio streams but who carries a laptop and dongle to a football match? Unless I'm missing a trick ere
Well I know my iPhone won't load the hullcitylive stream but guess I've never tried tiger players on it... But do they even air burnsys interviews live?
As far as I know you get the full broadcast. And maybe Android and Blackberry phones you can play the Hullcitylive feed as well.
Slightly glad I didn't go to be honest :/. If it was as bad as Blunderside made it out to be anyway! Oh well lets look forward to Coventry at home eh?
Maybe if they have flash support which iPhone doesn't as that's what hullcitylives stream uses. Which I find rather odd as I'm sure YouTube uses flash and that works on iPhone.
It was worse honestly, we only had 1 half chance all game long, it took til about the 70th minute before we had our 2nd shot which was from Simpson practically on the byline and out at the edge of the box which was ne'er going to get anywhere, then we had one more blocked shot in the dying minutes. Not sure where BBC sport got their 7 shots stat from.
Neither am I... I'm sure I only heard 2 shots and I listened to the whole game! Baffling... after Saturday they said there'd be a "reaction" but that really just takes the p*ss!! Did you go with Tiger Travel by the way? If you did at least you got a tenner out of it
dont worry we where promised a response after leicester and thats what we got, 1 shot on goal...so imagine the response to this wel get on saturday with more managers words ringing in there ears, because they obviously take a hell of a lot of notice, might get 2 this time! look out coventry
The players couldn't even be bothered to raise two fingers. When they came out for the second half they just ambled on like it was a training game. No energy whatsoever. Why doesn't anyone shoot?
