I don't know what he has been putting in the lads tea but these last 4 games have been sublime.. We will go far with this man in charge, a Uruguayan with no connection to Wearside before his appointment has become a fekkin mackem hero in my eyes.. Well done Gus and the team for putting a smile on mine and many other faces tonight..
we are going places with this fella lads, ellis must back him, cant knock his signings and i hope there will be plenty more in the summer, wonder if certain players will be knocking on his door for a new contract now
All praise poyet gets is fully deserved, him and the squad have been working very hard since his arrival, he was under pressure from some idiotic fans, including a few on here less than a month ago Well played Gus, well played Lads
I have alot more faith in Lee Congerton than I did Di Fanti. He was chief scout at Chelsea under Mourinho, and worked closely with Arnessen. And went to Hamburg where the German league imo is on par with the EPL. Hopefully some good German imports are incoming, and Lee can pull a few from his hat. And fingers crossed him and Poyet work well together, because we as a club need them too.
Im still worried about some of our more promising youngsters being told to 'do one' effectively, but hopefully your right.
Well done Gus, and the players who have at last shown the form expected of them, a truly unbelievable season, a brilliant day, now finish it in style.
Everyone back on the Gus bus!!!! It's off to the pub, ha'waaaaay! I think Gus is a great manager, very happy to have him. Even if the unthinkable happens I'd still keep him.
He's been a breath of fresh air for our club. There's a massive, positive change in the way we go about games. Long may it continue.
Hamburg who with his players are about to get relegated from the Budesliga...screw the director of football position...let gus sign them...will we never learn!
Does Baz still want him sacked for his "win win" The bloke is a hero. Savage said if Liverpool don't win the league the Poyet should be manager of the season. I can't argue with him. He took over with 1 point and kept us up. Pulis took over with 11 points and kept them up.
