I've read this on the official site a few times this past couple of days and think it typifies the guy.

"We fight for each other and give everything for the Club out there. I know if I lose the ball that I've got Whitts in behind me to help me out and vice-versa. This is a united team and different again from last season. I've played with some good individual players but haven't experienced anything quite like this. I'm really enjoying playing in this team and we are so determined to succeed. We will keep fighting for each other."

Malky left him on the bench and brought him on as a late sub earlier in the season, but his name should be one of the first on the team sheet for every game left now.

He has such passion and never gives up - nothing is a lost cause to him and it rubs off on the rest just as much as Bellamy's attitude.

His sort will take us over the line this season.

I think he epitomises the whole club this season. One of the best signings we have made and will get even better over the next couple of seasons.
His work rate around the pitch allows the attackers to flourish, and he can also play a bit himself.

    I agree hes playing well.

However i think its a pity Mutch got injured. He hasnt been the same and I think hes better than Gunnar. Current form Gunner gets in.

a sad state of affairs that the level of professionalism and togetherness at our club is seen as the exception, rather than the norm, but thats the way football is nowadays.

and gunnarsson typifies this spirit. all too often players moan to their agents if they lose their place in the team, here though players work twice as hard to get in and then win back their place, like conway for example <ok>

Didn't exactly throw his toys out of the pram. He dangled them over the edge though.

Worked hard and came out the other side though.

Most consistant midfielder by a mile

Whitts, Mutch, Smithy, Noone all started off the season with a bang.....but are not always hitting the early season heights (mainly after injury). Lucky though that the likes of Kimbo, Conway have been able to step up to the mark after slow starts.....and we've still got Kiss, Cowie if needed.

Gunnar - faster than a speeding bullet (nearly), jumps high buildings with a single bound (almost).

Definitely one of the heroes of the season so far.

Malky should take a huge amount of credit for the way he's handled the squad and the individuals to create this team spirit imo
