He was referring to his home club (Ponte Preta) rather that Stamford Bridge. The trouble with google is it translates names.

The team he says he supports - Ponte Preta - translates directly to "black bridge" - hence the translation of Bridge it comes up with. Not Chelsea

I liked the bit where the writer reminds everybody of the role Saints played in the establishment of football in Brazil.

I think it was very flattering of them to choose our away strip as their national team colours.
