So it appears Gulacsi is being recalled in preparation for this weekend (http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/apr/11/liverpool-goalkeeper-peter-gulacsi-hull), two questions come to mind really,

    1) I though Gulacsi was injured, if not why has he been on the bench so frequently for Hull, has he made errors?
    2) Would it be better to start with him rather than Jones against Everton? I don't rate Jones that highly, he was very flappy at the weekend and even Middlesbrough were glad to see the back of him.

What are everyone's thoughts? It's times like these that show how much we take Reina for granted!

I think if you go and look at the Hull board you will see that we're not too disappointed to give him back.

Basically (my understanding anyway ) is that he was crap, dropped, recalled when other goalie injured, got injured, went back to you for treatment and when fit you made us continue the loan so he bench warms.

He won't be brimming with confidence when it seems you tried to get an emergency loan before recalling him - I'd stick with Jones.

Yes you do take Reina for granted!

I think we should stick with Jones. He must see this as a chance to get some more appearances before the end of the season with Reina occasionally looking shaky.

This could be the only one of Hodgson's signings that succeeds!

jones is ****e.... but .... gulasci is young and his best part of his game is similar to pepe, his keeping needs development which is what he was sent to hull for. if they saw fit to piss about then they should have returned him so I'll not make any judgements on the yuong guy unless his agent starts mouthing off or he plays dirt next preseason.

doni was poor for the pen decision but otherwise solid. jones will be "ok" but we really really need to get in our no 1 defense and retain the ball.. or in other words we cannot afford carragher and gerrard playing like passengers on a free ride.

It's not that we pissed about. He did start the season for us. We tried to send him back to you before Christmas after he had had some absolute howlers but you refused to take him back.

Our defence looked terrified when he was in the team. Ever since we got Mannone back from Arsenal he hasn't had a look in despite having recovered from his injury in about March

Jones has played with our back 4 for 60mins more than Gulacsi has and I think Jones as alot to play for in the semi. We should stick with him and continue the support we've been giving him through his difficult year - I have no doubt he'll want to put in a big performance to repay the support.

We paid a loan fee for Gulacsi and tried to return him last year when we saw he wasn't good enough, presumably we'll get some of that fee back now.

You'll have a hard job finding a Hull fan who isn't completely indifferent to him being recalled, he played 15 times for us and I was at 14 of those games and I'd have gladly have driven him back to Liverpool.

His display at Leeds was one of worst I've ever seen from a City keeper and I'm 47, I do home and away and over the years we've had some utter ****e. He is young and he may improve, but he looks scared ****less all the time, our back four hated playing in front of him and I'll be astounded if he ever makes it at Liverpool.

Ayala was a way better prospect, I'm surprised you let him go.

He's one of the worst keepers i've seen, and i've seen a fair few shocking players in my time following HCAFC.

Yeah he has made errors, he's ****, you would have better luck sticking Andy Carroll in goal rather than Gulacsi

Jones is poor, but as I understand it Gulacsi is ****.

Also Jones has more exprience and more 1st team experience. May as well stick with Jones and have one of the u18 GKs on the bench, dont see a future for Gulacsi at Liverpool (in fact before all this I thought we'd sold him)

So saying 'if they saw fit to piss about then they should have returned him' is not making judgements!!

I think you will find we tried to send him back and you wouldn't take him, that and the fact that you tried to sign an emergency loanee before finally recalling him would be what I would describe as pissing him about.

Thanks for the input Hull City Peeps, I now really want Jones in goal for the semi final - Where's Pegguy Arphexad when you need him??

EDIT - Holy ****. I just WIKI'd Arphexad - the guy has 6 winners medals - not bad for a career where he made a grand total of 39 appearances, only 2 for the team he won the medals with

We'll have our best back four in place on Saturday. Jones/Gulacsi won't have a save to make against the BBS. <ok>.....................................................................<laugh>
