With Basso maybe out of the game against WH, would we have been better retaining Matt Dukes rather than take on the loanee Gulacsi, and does anyone know what is the situation with Manonne?

Duke was a good servant to the club, but a very mediocre player. He had to go.

Duke might have been a better 2nd choice keeper than Gulacsi, but would the difference justify the difference there'd be in the wages between the two? And just as he's been mentioned, unless he's been subbed or has come on as a sub at all Duke has conceded 19 in 12 games so far for Bradford.

I always liked Duke. He was never the player Myhill was but he at least commanded his area (well, for the most part).

My reading is, if we had retained Duke, we would have still signed Gulacsi and not signed Basso.

Only put 'an' before a word that begins with a vowel - well known fact.

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/an

an1   /ən; when stressed æn/ Show Spelled[uhn; when stressed an] Show IPA indefinite article the form of a before an initial vowel sound (an arch; an honor) and sometimes, especially in British English, before an initial unstressed syllable beginning with a silent or weakly pronounced h: an historian.

It's also probably fair to say that in the Hull accent we have the most weakly pronounced aitches of anybody.

Gulacsi didn't get lobbed every game, whilst stood on his line and being 6'3", like Duke did. PG has had one bad game, give him a chance. The numpties who have to have a player to hate have all changed their tune on Adebola after the last 3 games, despite repeatedly dismissing my suggestions we should give him a chance before jumping to conclusions, now it's Gulacsi.

It sounds like he's going to play on Saturday, and I bet people will change their tune on him too come Saturday night.

Gulacsi is 67816847171346876 times better than Duke ever was. And I think i saw the premier league tigers has summed him up perfectly.

Who will get the benefit of him learning his trade, Liverpool I guess, hopefully not at our expense. Lets hope if he does play tomorrow that he has a good game, as that will do his confidence the world of good.

Duke started over 50 games for us, Gulasci has started 3.

I don't think anyone is really in a position to judge how they compare.

Particularly as everyone is bound to be swayed by the fact that Gulasci had a complete mare in his last full game.
