I've been offered a Fender Stratocaster for £100

No idea what model but it's in top condition, from I can see they are mega expensive. Am I getting a bargin?

Sounds very cheap, is it lifted?

 

Cheap model would cost about 400 new going up to 1500 plus for the better models.

 

Thanks, it's not lifted it's some geek collector who can't even play it. He's got rid of a load of different guitars and that's the last one.

Make sure you know what you're looking at though. If not, take somebody who does...

He's a bit of a strange lad but nice enough. He's not going to rip me off. He'd rather be nice to someone he knows and sell it cheap than make money on the internet.

If anything I'm tripping him off.

 

Bought a Gibson Les Paul (was in a wrong case )for my son from a stupid girl at a pawn shop for 150 dollars Canadian . They barely allow me in the store any more ....fuk em

£100 for a Strat is a bargain. Even if it's a cheaper mexican made one. Get it and don't ask any questions

 

I play bass. Musicman Stringray. Love the booming bottom end, with that unmistakable stringray top end.

 

My son has a Fender bass ( bought new ) and a Ernie Ball( not sure if that's how you spell it lol ) bought used for 300 Canadian .
Used is the way to go IMO , my son has 5 guitars , 5 basses and a good set of drums ..all bought used except for the Fender bass.

 

Is the Ernie Ball a Musicman Ernie Ball, or just an Ernie Ball bass ? Ernie Ball bought the rights to Musicman in the early 80's so they all have that prefix now. I used to own a pre-ernie ball Stingray 1979 in tobacco sunburst. It was an amazing bass. I had to sell it when I needed a new car years ago as it was the only thing that I had that was worth any money. I got £1000 for it around 15 years ago. They are just going up and up in value now and you can pay £4000 for them now.
