Skysports.com understands Queens Park Rangers have asked to take John Guidetti on loan from Manchester City. The Swedish forward is held in high regard around Eastlands and was handed a new three-year contract in July. He is, however, still some way down the senior pecking order and may be forced to look elsewhere for regular games. A spell on loan at Championship outfit Burnley last season allowed him to take in first-team football, and he impressed during his time at Turf Moor. It was unclear what his future would hold when he returned to City, with it suggested that he could be set to move on. Approach He has committed himself to the Blues, though, and is now looking forward to making his mark in the 2011/12 campaign. Those opportunities may come away from Eastlands, with City mulling over a loan approach from Premier League new boys QPR. A number of second tier clubs are also understood to be keen on taking the 19-year-old on a short-term basis. City have yet to decide what their plans are for Guidetti, with it possible he may be prevented from leaving, but it appears likely that he will soon be loaned out in order to pick up valuable first-team experience.
Still though, if he's decent, he's worth taking imo. An injury to DJ or Bothroyd and we're looking at Helguson/Hulse/Agyemang!
2 Fullbacks, a Centre half + a holding midfielder please... Not another wing/striker as we already have 400 of those. Thanks in advance.
I'll take that...... Throw it that Right Back from Getafe that used to play for Real that we were linked with + its job done.
