Signed him In June 2010 so thats 22 months of wage at a guess of 28k 28k X 22= 484,000 not including signing on fee with a 3 goal return. 7k per week gives a big problem because i cant see a championship side wanting to take a risk, and not many lower league teams can match 7k only chance is if he is prepared to take a pay cut,which is unlikely, or you part exchange him for someone and pay the difference on his wages for a 1 or 2 year contract, it will still leave you quids in cos if he stays and runs down his contract its another 300k for nothing
Agree mate. As I said, I have plucked the 7k out of the air but its an educated guess and I think its going to be a blocker because Billy doesn't want to drop a division but clearly cant handle the championship. Said at the time & will say until I am blue in the face he is not LUFC or even championship calibre. Good luck Billy but please have a little self respect and **** off to a team where you can actually contribute to your wages.
I don't believe the £7k a week - maybe half that. But this just goes to show that Paynter has really let himself go and is just sitting on his fat arse instead of trying to ensure he is up to speed and delivering what a pro footballer should
Maybe you're right but with no signing fee and as a rule of thumb forwards tend to get paid a little bit more but as I said earlier pure guess work. The issue as you put it is he seems happy to collect the wage or just hasnt got the ability to break into the first team. Probably a bit of both as this is the biggest stage of his life
