Where will he come on race day, in the points? out of points? podium? the winner? Also where about do you think he'll finish? I say 8th. Unless there's a safety which I will give him 5th.
I think Webber in China showed the importance of fresh tyres. Kobayashi will have much more grip than his rivals and he overtakes very well. For this reason I think he'll get in the points, however, the top 10 is very competitive, so I don't see him getting further than 9th on his charge.
I can see him overtake if he actually thinks before he does it, if he doesn't there will be plenty of collisions.
Your mad jersey, MADDDDDDDD I TELL YOU MADDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be flipping awsome though if he did, that would increase his stock 50 fold.
Won't get points, he may have fresher tyres but the Sauber isn't looking to quick, if he gets points it will be due to retirements. Nothing against his overtaking, mind!
May get some points if he keeps it nice and clean: 55% chance of points 25% chance of a DNF 20% chance of doing nothing special.
what sort of statement is that? He's always in the thick of the action and very rarely makes a mistake or collides with anyone. Considering how 'ragged' he appears to be he's only been at fault in 1 accident in his F1 career, and all his passes are clean. I bet Alonso, Webber and Hamilton wish they had his sort of record, that way they may've been 2010 WDC. He's a future WDC if he gets a decent car
What mistake would that be? It can't be Oz last year cause the car had big front wing issues all weekend, which caused the crash on the Sunday. He had a couple of scrappy overtakes in Japan, but they weren't his fault. And it can't be anything in 2009 cuase he was brilliant in the 2 (?) races he took part in?
I wouldn't have included Hamilton in that statement. He's been around a while now and in my opinion is only rivalled by Button and perhaps Alonso in terms of his racecraft. Kobayashi has only just started, in spite of his obvious ability. It is very rare for Hamilton to be the cause of a collision during a race. P.S. I say this as a relatively objective observer rather than a fan of Hamilton or any other driver.
Cosi, I was comparing their crash records as the person I was responding to seems to think Kobayashi is an unclean over-taker and crashes a lot (at least that seems to be his gist). Of the 5 challengers last season Buttons DNF's were byond his control, Vettel won, so I named the other 3, who all caused their own demise, not having a dig at them, just using the top 5 as a comparative guide. I really like his persona too.
I agree that Kobayashi is a very clean overtaker. As far as I am aware he has only made one error whilst doing it (and I cannot remember who it was against). After his first race, I suggested he could become the greatest ever Japanese driver. He is very very good.
