Guerra is now third top scorer I la liga,why on earth did we not give this player a chance to show what he could do,and who made the decision to get rid of him.Once again a decision by people who have not got a clue how to run a football team.

Him and Burgstellar (?) were the two that seemed to have some pedigree. Neither given the chance. Saying that, we probably wouldn't have given them the style of play for them to excel. Frustrating, but we should start to look forward rather than back.
Saw Burgerbar a couple of times and he didn't impress on either. Bit of a poor man's Pilkington - without the skill level.
Guerra is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Good goal scoring record in Spain, didn't really get a chance with us but when he did he didn't show anything and was dreadful in that Bournemouth game. I guess there was some sort of underlying issue - attitude in training, family settling problems or any other reason. I also think Remote is right in saying our style (what style???) didn't suit him. He is essentially someone who will get goals if you give him chances in the box. We don't do much of that - end of!!! He will get on the end of things if things are there to get on the end of. Pity we couldn't change our style to suit him. If what he does in Spain is a guide, he could have been a 20 goals a season player here.

That,s it guys your spot on.............. our type of play doesn,t suit Revell or the other pros in the squad. 
Guerra would have buried that chance that Ameobi spurned v Bristol City and several that Mason fluffed in earlier games. I reckon even old Alfie would have notched those.

I take it from the head banging you disagree with this point bluebanana.That,s it guys your spot on.............. our type of play doesn,t suit Revell or the other pros in the squad.
Players should be able to adapt to different styles of play but all players have a style that comes naturally to them. Take them out of their comfort zone and they underperform and when the pressure is on or they get tired they revert to type. I'd also expect that the further down the pyramid you go the harder players will find it to adapt / change the way they've played.
Two wingers flinging crosses into the box for Michael Owen at Liverpool didn't do much for him under the twin managers they had. Tony Adams was a fish out of water in a back 5 for England under Keegan having played all his career in a back 4 and Andy Caroll didn't have the success at Liverpool with the ball played into feet and down the channels that he had with the Toon hoofing the ball into the box. England internationals all and failing to adapt.
Pick a key player and build a style around him (Caroll at Newcastle) or pick a style and sign players to play that way (Swansea). For the latter approach, Dave Jones with his 442 when people were fit. The issue was when we picked up injuries. He then played people out of position and we suffered (Bothroyd off and a winger asked to do the same job).
To be honest, I don't think a lot of the recent signings have been good enough and there are too many square pegs being hammered into the round holes. I think Guerra, ALF and to a degree Burgervan suffered under our managers and are better than what we saw. Quite a few were just dross.
I think he finished his career here with that Bournemouth performance. I was there and he was a disgrace. That was him and Young finished. Slade has probably come in and be told by Young that Guerra is a waste of time with a bad attitude. Not the untalented, hard working, glad to be in the Championship type that Slade seems to cherish.
Now that was a huge mistake regardless of whether Guerra would have had the appetite to be a Championship striker long term. Then and now we were desperate for a clinical striker, he could have been that player as talent wise he's obviously a class above what we have. Slade should have put an arm around him and worked out if he could get the best (or anywhere near that) out of him. At the very worst it he appeared to still be an asset it would have improved our negotiating position whilst letting him go back to Spain.
In the few brief sub appearances we saw him it was obvious he was talented, the fact he's doing so well in La liga seems to confirm that.
All that really matters now is he's gone. We've still got Young though

Rather than cutting back on players, perhaps City could get rid of these 3 instead.
