Fulham http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/aug/08/premier-league-preview-fulham Predict 13th. We are up next. 18th and 19th have gone do you reckon they've got us in 17th??
To be honest with you I only care what the bookies say. They are the only ones that are putting their money where their mouth is so to speak.
I wouldn't get hung up on these things, every paper/magazine/pundit seems to do one, just because everybody else does it. There has to be a team at the bottom, and I think you would struggle to find any set of fans who would say "Yeah, that is fair" when it is their team in that last place. But, somebody is obviously going to finish there.
It's so typical of them to predict the 3 that came up to go down, absolutely no thought gone into it what so ever.
Every one of the main Sky pundits has said the three promoted teams will go back down, (with the exception of Phil Thompson who reckons Cardiff will survive). No real thought, no real consideration that it's only happened once in 21 years of the Prem. Even along the lines of mentioning a potential surprise package from one or two of the promoted would be far closer to what's happened in recent years. But it's just the same old boring predictable crap from them - makes you wonder why they even bother making these predictions in the first place.
Agreed, Chazzman - SSN and the Sun give great football info/coverage (and I won't give a penny to the Digger, the twat). The Times, Indy and Telegraph are pretty good for info, too. Mind you, I wouldn't even line the cat's tray with the Mail, Express or Star.....
I could handle us being put at 19th but why are we behind Palace? What have they seen in Palace's squad to make them think they'll finish above us?
You can see why they may have us to finish 20th.. as it stands we have one of the weakest squads in the league. Although out of the 3 promoted teams we have the best manager.. Bring in a few quality players to improve the team and 17th will be most likely.
Of course it doesn't really matter, whether we finish 18th 19th or 20th. So predicting each is futile really. I had Villa to go down,in the belief they would lose Benteke, who kept them up,single handed last season. I wouldn't make a serious prediction, but if i was handed a free £10k bet,and had to predict the bottom three,i'd have to look more honestly,at my selections. 18th-Hull city 19th-Sunderland 20th-Palace Trench dug and tin hat on
Good post kk. I'm hoping Cardiff do **** up cos of the bumming the press keep giving Mackay. Palce will fail, then gotta hope Di Canio ****s up or Pardew.
I couldn't give a t*ss what the media nor bookies think our chances are and in fact I would rather they underrate us and we surprise a few people than the other way round. What counts is what we do on the pitch and lets hope we can make a few of these so called experts eat their words!
Just looking at the bookies odds. It is a disgrace that you can't get better than 7500/1 for us to win the league, and only 400/1 to finish in the top 4.
Get rid of all this politics **** heres us http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/aug/08/hull-city-premier-league-preview
Like the guy from 'The Sun' you know that bastion of fine taste and excellent, true journalism who when asked on Talk**** who would go down immediate went to the easy option of Hull and Palace, with S/and...What a clever dick. You could only get a job on that Haddock sheet. Time to rub is face in it City.
