  3. Well i'd like to see more of Sammy but as far as i'm concerned Shola can go **** himself. His laziness never gets punished which is why he rarely tries, apart from the derby days because he knows that if he scores against Sunderland he can do **** all for the rest of the season and still be a hero. We sing songs about Kuqi, it doesn't make him a legend or a hero, so it doesn't make Shola one either. He's been at the club so long because we couldn't get rid of him. ****ing Stoke wouldn't take him.

Sammy looks like a decent young flair, but Shola has been ****e and bone idle every time he's gotten a chance therefore he doesn't deserve to be considered for a first team spot next season, unless the worst comes to the worst and our new strikers are ****e and we have to play him.

Sammy looks like the complete opposite of his brother. A agile little attacking player, who will try and play with passion. Shola rarely shows that he cares.

There's a part of me that will always love Shola, but the people that say we should never sell Shola because he scores against the Mackems are being stupid. Nolan has played against Sunderland twice and scored 4. I'm pretty sure we can manage without Shola <ok>

    This. <ok>

I'll sell Ameobi(Old) this summer if the RIGHT(1m - 1.5m for example) offer comes along & we get 2 quality strikers.

Got to wonder if he just isn't capable of running very fast really. Still, I agree he shouldn't be starting.

  9. Running fast means ****. Nolan isn't quick at all but he's been our top scorer twice in two seasons.

Shola is slow and that's not his fault, but he is generally lazy and show's lack of effort. He can do it against the Mackems though can't he? He shows he can do it, but not for the 36 games scattered across the rest of the season!!!

Trust me, I've been making the same argument for months too. He can't be arsed trying at all, but I'm moreso highlighting the fact that if it is this obvious to us, and Pardew is aware of this actual medical handicap, it's stunning that he is even getting a start at all.

To be fair to Ameobi I think he's a OK target-man, I think he'll be capable back-up/cover for next season(this is of course assuming we sign 1/2 striker/s) & I hope Pardew sees it that way as well. <ok>

Simply not good enough to start regularly in the PL anymore.

i want him to stay for sentimental reasons just wouldn't be the same without him . also my first game at st james' shola got a hat trick. and yes i know he isnt the best but there are some time's you think he has got something e.g against chelsea in the carling cup.

  14. Yes but Lover and Best deserve to be higher in the pecking order IMO. They work well with other strikers, and better in a passing team. If we want to play creative football/passing football and not target man football, i suggest we consider Lover and Best over Shola. Lover relies off service and his partner. It's not his fault if he gets in the right positions and Shola can't ****ing pass. We could have beaten Blackpool if Shola had made the 4 yard pass, but he did his usual audition of Bambi on ice.

Lover would have had two goals in the first 15 mins and won us the game.

So Lover has scored 1 less that Shola, but he tries all the time, works better with the team, and would have had more if Shola was able to pass and control the ball. And also Lover relies on knock downs from Shola which rarely come as Shola gets easily dealt with against defenses above the top 6. Also Lover and Best don't take pens.

    Pecking order next season -

    New striker
    New striker
    Best
    Lover
    Shola

  16. I think Odemwinge deserve the call up over Shola. 15 goals this season to Sholas 5.

I actually think he's been alright when he's been fit this season. Obviously not fantastic, but when we've not nothing better he's certainly no worse than some other strikers in the lower half of the league. He's had poor games, and he does occasionally look like he can't be arsed (woe betide us signing Berbatov, we'd hate him!), but he's popped up with goals when needed and as a third choice striker is perfectly adequate. At very least he offers a physical presence which is more than Peter Lovenkrands does. Admittedly I'm not quite at the point of getting his name on the back of my shirt yet (though vaguely tempted to get both Ameobis on away and third for a laugh) but he's more useful than people give him credit for. From memory he had very decent games against Wolves and Man Utd at home recently, and was unplayable at Stamford Bridge in the cup.

That's what I've been thinking. I think if we can sell Lovenkrands/Ameobi then I'll be happy with NEW ST, Best, Ameobi/Lovenkrands, Airey/Young Ameobi. <ok>

It depends on the formation and style of football Pardew wants to have. There's no need for two QUALITY strikers if we are going to play the suggested(going by Pardew wanting to base the team on Arfa) 4231/4411/451/etc. Gamiero would be my first choice because of his technical ability(good pace, energy, dribbling & a very good finisher).

I'm happy for both Ameobis to stay, even if one or both of them are squad players rather than first team regulars. Ameobi is a handful, even if he is somewhat inefficient...
