The only thing that proves is that the Championship doesn't have Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs...... in it.

Carra - I don't think you have quite grasped that we are very happy with the way things are progressing. None of us are particularly bothered about promotion this season.

We are not overly concerned about the defence, Rome wasn't built in a day and all that's required is one or two more centre backs there and arguably a right back. That said we have one of the best keepers in the country between the sticks up against Championship standard forwards so we're not going to be letting in tonnes of goals.

I'm sure PJ will strengthen the backline again - if not immediately then by next summer we should have a solid defensive unit in place.

By contrast you have a League One defence up against some of the best strikers in the world.

Christ even in one of the worst games we have ever played at Carrow Road last season - up until Delaney went off the completely useless Tamas Priskin found it a breeze to get in behind your defence - imagine what the Rooneys and Van Persies and even the Sturridges and Crouchs are going to do - it's no good scoring an injury time goal when you're already five or six behind.

Suffice to say this is going to be a very enjoyable season for Town fans - win lose or draw we can enjoy watching our side playing attractive attacking football of a Saturday afternoon and then watch the budgies get fed to the lions on MOTD.

Yorkie - If our defence is League One, what is yours? We scored 9 past it last season and you've lost your best defender and replaced him with an injury prone has-been. If you're not overly concerned about your defence, then you will be by the end of October.

There is no chance whatsoever of you gaining promotion any time soon, unless your billionaire owner spends some real money on some quality players. Bowyer and if you're lucky Chopra are good players at Championship level. However the rest of your signings are average.

 

I have to confess yorkie altho at times i dont agree with your point of view i have to take my hat off to you in this case and say you have pretty much summed things up perfectly .

 

You conceded more goals than us last season, and if as you say we have a league one defence now than prior to adding Naughton/de Laet last year it must of been below League One last season yet yours must of been even worse at that time last time season because as I say you let in more and you've actually lost your best defenders, so by your logic you have a terrible defence!

 

I don't think anyone has said our defence is any good? Our keeper is exceptional though and there is still a month left of the transfer window.

And Carra, none of us are expecting promotion this season but it's as much nonsense to say that we have no chance as it is to say that you're already relegated, even though I'm sure the odds on our promotion are better than yours of staying up.

 

Dangerous our defence needs sortin out as you say but if i were you guys i would be selling everything i own and remortgaging carrot road just to get in the best defenders i could get .

you havn't got the midfield or forwards to keep the game at the opposition end so you are just going to get battered relentlessly from the kick off .
