Well we knew he would be in demand - just hope he stays - but will Baz put anything there for him to tempt him - selling all our best players is not going to help persuade MM to stay

Malky would be an idiout to leave his job, he is loved here and has no chance of gettin sacked, while Cardiff hav made it clear if you dont go up you get sacked

Just another lazy hack journo trying to create a story - at least he does not do the standard "an inside source said" or "according to those close to..." Quiet football news week - well until that pile of ****e yesterday

It is from the People... where I put somewhere in between the Sun and the Sport for accuracy! Malky's had a good season in difficult circumstances so will be linked to any Lower-Premiership/Higher-Championship role. Lazy journalism at best!

Look at it from MMs point of view - at WFC, he's popular but has little money and there's more hope than expectation. At CC, he'll be someone new with no history with the club, will have little money and plenty of expectation. I know which I'd choose. If they get rid of Davies, I think Forest are in a stronger position as he'll have some money but again, there'll be high expectation with that.

I mentioned before MM is ambitious and Cardiff or my tip forest would be a logical step up for him , where he might be able to build a team and keep it!
I fear for the worst ,as Leo mentioned it seems Mr B is hellbent on owning a L1 team!

I think it probably is just lazy journalism. But I don't like the idea that this could be a small snowball at start of its roll down a long hill.

Malky will be a huge target for a lot of other clubs, I believe. We have a situation where teams go up to the Premiership, turn over tens of millions of pounds yet seem to come down again, tens of millions in debt. Clubs trying to go up get themselves millions in debt taking a punt at the huge potential 'rewards'. Underneath these clubs is an array of clubs being bled dry and spiralling downwards into further and further debt by directors' 'loans'. At the bottom of the division are a group of clubs desperate to stay up at any cost, as the loss of revenue by going into League One is very great.

Along come knight in shining armour, a manager who can perform wonders with a budget in deficit. When reality takes hold that these debts are unsustainable indefinitely, he must look a very inviting prospect. And I think it's fair to say it's established these clubs are willing to try and buy their way out of difficulty - albeit for the 'last time'.

Hoping its lazy Journo work , However Billys reign is looking tenuous ,and Cardiff have binned Dave Jones , Although both these clubs have large Debt they both have access to more funds than us (at the mo)! Pigeons will come home to these teams trying to buy success ,as we ,derby and pompey have all found out!
I agree with getting the club debt down ,yet we have to give MM some support and money to keep us in this division! Relegation would have very serious fiscal implications!

I sometimes wonder just how these rumours start sometimes. Hacks in need of filling a few column inches scout around the message boards and look at someones wish list, then say it will happen.

I think that the football rumours. com asks for people to put on what they have heard. Nothing to stop me from making up the most outrageous story and seeing how long it takes to hit the message boards. Could be quite fun. ;)
