The more I see the Poopey goal from Sunday, the more it's clear that Guly bottled it completely. He saw what was happening and just turned his back and half jumped just to show willing. I'm not a Guly hater by any means but I just feel if that was Hammond, Cork, Fonte, Lambert or Hooijveld, they would have put their heads on the line so to speak. Very disappointing!

That's why he was on the post and not battling for the ball in the box - he is no good challenging in the air. Everytime he goes up for a ball (at either end) if anyone is near him he bottles it. It is the weakest part of his game. Don't get me wrong he can score a header if he is unchallenged (I remember him scoring a cracker earlier this season from just inside the 18 yard box).

Yesterday he played the man not the ball. He wanted to put the Pompey player off but didn't realise how quick he was then had to pull out.

    Striker needed in January.

Little birdie tells me that guly and ward had a scrap in the tunnel after a fan called him a scummer c**t he replied with the middle finger and 'top', ward then said something and it was handbags after that. He probably called him a pussy or something!
Still though guly has annoyed me but he wil probs score a hat trick v palace.

Typical; he shows some passion by gobbing off in the tunnel but not on the pitch where it counts! Reading Adkins post match interview it sounds like he's not happy with him either:

"We needed to defend that goal better and individually you've got to have the desire to go and head the ball"

That sounds like a direct dig at Guly to me, and rightly so!

Lallana appears to lose his marker, goalscorer Ward. Both should have done better.

Bloody overkill as usual. If the BBC hadn't shown it in slow-motion time and again, most divs on here wouldn't even have noticed it.

Hopefully he'll learn from it and won't do it again. Or the person responsible for putting him on the post (Adkins) won't put him there again.... or dare I say it, but Hoovield win the header from the corner instead of letting the Pompey player do so. But of course, it's all 100% Guly's fault, as is the weather, me not winning the lottery jackpot and the Gulf of Mexico oil rig disaster.

All Guly's fault. I don't know how he sleeps at night.

Whats typical? How would we know if Guly likes a bit of verbal in the tunnel. Heres hoping that Guly scores a hatrick at the weekend. He had a poor game yes, but he's also been a vital part of the red and white team that has us where we are now.

Which is why the team was at fault. Overall, Guly had a poor game, and certainly could have done better. Horses for courses. Guly has played plenty of excellent football and is certainly worthy of his selection, most of the time. It was a costly error.

Guly had a poor game, just a shame it was against Portsmouth. Knowing him he will have a stormer against palace and win us the game, it's something we are going to have to put up with!
