Hammarby stopped producing a programme, in the top division that is common place. However, the photo you see is one produced by the fans BUT helped by the club they produce an excellent publication. The relationship with the fans and club in Sweden is something that can be learnt from over here, most certainly with one club I can think of.
Like many other Charlton fans I am hoping very much for a new owner coming in who recognises the huge value of a genuine good relationship with the fans (not just some lip service and window dressing). To have an owner who backs the manager as much as he can and backs the fans will be like the Club being reborn after five years of network nonsense, mismanagement, conflict and alienation. A new owner plus some decent funding, a good manager and the fans back on board - we can really challenge in the Championship with that combination.
Where are you heading tomorrow, Elfs? I'll probably be at Hullbridge Sports v Ilford. Have you ever been to Brightlingsea Regent? I'm planning on going early next year.
Thank the Lord, a sensible poster has appeared. I'm off to Salford v Ebbsfleet tomorrow, going up with a Charlton mate who is off to Rochdale. We'll have a couple of beers in Manchester then go our seperate ways and then meet back up for the (long)journey home. Have not done Hullbridge before, is that Southend way? I have done Brightlingsea about two seasons ago, not a bad ground tbf.
I can't believe that @Clb74 is spending most of a day travelling to/from a football match with you mate ….. seems like masochism (the enjoyment of an activity that appears to be painful or tedious) to me!
Never been described as sensible before. Yep, Hullbridge is north-west of Southend. A very basic ground, but extremely friendly people and decent coffee & grub are to be found there. Let me know when you want to shoehorn a trip into your schedule.
Just changed at Crewe and bumped into about 50 well oiled Wrexham on their way to Chesterfield. I looked for Ivor but he was not with them.
