Dorking Wanderers have moved to a new ground this season, Dorking disbanded, who used to play on this site but the ground was squashed and rebuilt. This game was a 1st v 3rd clash which was one in the last minute by Tonbridge Angels, the goal was very lucky with an overhead kick deceiving the goalkeeper and ending up in the top left hand corner. A deserved win by the away side though.
Once again, many thanks to Mr Lardiman for putting in the time to plonk these pictures on the board. Whilst watching this game I was looking out for Mr van Gerwen's mate Chippy, unfortunately he was a no show so I could not get hold of the money for the Accrington ticket. This match was a cup game for teams in the Evo-Stik North, their equivalent of our Kent Senior Cup. A cracking old skool ground, a lot of the northern grounds have not been replaced/redeveloped like many grounds down South. Farsley Celtic came from behind to win 2-1 to move into the 1/4 finals.
I’m not ? I’m doing exactly the same thing as you do - deprive the sh1t of money. Only I watch the games, whereas you go to buy the programmes
You are doing the same as what you criticise me for, paying less money than you should. In the past 18 months I have been to The Valley about 5 times(all midweek games) to collect the programmes, and the point is.................
Nowhere. I'm going to Hammersmith tonight to see The Human League, supported by Midge Ure. No football match was going to get in the way of this evening. Absolute 5* entertainment.
Of course you had heard of him. Anybody with an ounce of interest in music of our age would have heard of him.
£8 full admission(I asked if the unemployed was a concession and got a firm no!) £3 badge £4.20 lager £1 coffee Total outlay £16.20
Marlow v Waltham Abbey ... the Bostik League That is a proper Club shop they have. 5mph speed limit through the turnstiles as well - very safety conscious
Early Christmas greetings to our IT expert Mr Lardiman. I set off to this game in the knowledge that Marlow only produce an online programme, the sign of things to come on the non-league circuit. I did manage to take away with me a team sheet so at least I had some momento leaving the ground. Marlow is very pleasant, but why are football grounds always in the s*** end of town?! Approaching the ground the heavens started to open so I took a few quick snaps then hurridly made my way to the turnstile to pay the FULL admission of £8. The main stand makes the ground and is an absolute cracker, as you can see this was THE vantage point to save getting absolutely soaked. Marlow lost only their second game of the season to a very good Waltham Abbey side, a shame only 90 people were there to witness it.
A rare Friday night treat of football last night. Lewisham Borough v Phoenix Sports reserves in the Kent League.
