Looking at Grimsby recent stats this game has a draw written all over it. The issue I've got is who is going to start after a superb Luton performance... Grimsby 2-2 Gills (Nadesan, Jayden Clarke) Anyway now to reality, despite my above reservations we need to be winning this if we are to be treated as serious promotion or title contenders, so although I'm comfortable with a draw, with the quality we have we need to be winning, no pressure guys.
Tough shout, From what I saw on last week's game, first half only, we looked as if it was a foregone conclusion, or a gaffer F%$K up Have to say it was a shock to see the final result after my wedding. But did they not beat us 4-0 in a friendly??????
Tough away game, but then they all should be. They have some class players at this level and this is after last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Fortress Priestfield, who knows? We did have a great game on Tuesday evening and maybe we have learned from that, we did fight back and could have knicked it. I have 2 weddings tomorrow so I have no chance to see any part of the game except the full-time result, which so far this season has seen us win 1-0. If young Clarke gets a full game I can see him being something special, he and Nicholls linking up front and some nice strong wingers getting the ball in. I have a great liking for Ogie and his hard work and skillfulness, feel we are building a good promotional team and if we can nick 3 points and get back on track, tomorrow, it is a massive, massive, step forward. Mariners 1 v 2 MKB. ( Clarke and Nicholls. Eisa ) All those travelling have a safe return journey and lets hope some celebrations on the way home
