Cant help but laugh at this excuse for journalism, but according to horrible sources you are linked with our striker Hearn, who at the age of 26 is playing full time professional football for the first time. The links with Peterborough are true as Barry "the ****" Fry has been gobbling off, and Brian McDermott of Reading was sat in our Main Stand a few weeks back, but this link truely takes the piss!

<laugh> Sounds like a good player from his stats but they are conference stats, and thats a whole big leap from conference to premier league, and his 26, honestly would be lost for words if we bought him lol

I wouldn't be surprised if Prem scouts were there. Years ago I ran a small park in central London and I got a group of local lads together for the Annual Met. Police tournament. I held about three training sessions and each time blokes in overcoats and clipboards were along the fence watching and writing. We never had a fourth session as half my new team had been signed to several London youth teams, including Chelsea, Millwall and Fulham. I knew my main midfield dynamo worked at SB in one of the burger stalls. In one practise a ball went straight up about 40 feet into the air in a clash, as it fell down he moved in and took it perfectly on his chest and immediately a full volley on target at the goal. Everyone gasped. That was his last practise for us and I never saw him again. Unfortunately I heard Chelsea sacked him when he was caught nicking money out of the tills.

Even my with my primary school team half of us got signed at 11 years old to various London League sides and we old formed only the year before and had played 10 matches to win a Lambeth school league. Again when I worked in a school in Wandsworth several of the under 11's went to summer schemes at Fulham and Chelsea and a a few went on to sign forms with those clubs afterwards.

So if you have ever played an organised game in this country and actually not to have been watched by a big team scout before you are 14 seems to be unusual. Many people stay in the amatuer game and the odd diamond get left there for many different reasons and I believe some of them can make a leap straight to the Premiership. More likely though they could and should be professionals at a lower league level. Sean Dyche always comes to mind, indeed a few in that Chesterfield side that really should of beat Middlesborough in that epic two match FA cup semi.
