The £12 seams to have put many off this game. More than enough room though for whoever wants to go to the game. Fenty will just get my £12 plus programme cost. £12 for a friendly indeed. If Nick Proschwitz had been a Confirmed starter in the game maybe more would have gone. Bruce said Nick P. may get 10mins at the end or a debut @ Rochdale the week after. I am looking forward to seeing Proschwitz and Simpson as a pairing.
£12 is a fair whack. I was hoping to see Nick P play, oh well couple of beers because the other half is driving!
After the Winterton game in his interview with Burnsy. Bruce was on the morning sports desks today saying the same thing. If you go onto the BBC Radio Humberside Listen Again and bring up Andy Comforts breakfast show or click on to www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00vnq0n/Andy_Comforts_Breakfast_Show_19_07_2012/ It plays at 25.50 the interview with Bruce. (or one or 2 hours after that ie.7.25am / 8.25am)
I know tell me about it. I only went as it was a NEW ground. Grimsby isn't. No friendly should exceed £10 imo.
The reason it's £12 because the money from the game is going towards our Youth development otherwise the game will be priced at £5 and £10 , Prices are £12 , £8 and £6 for the game if your coming down to the game tomorrow i recommend you head into cleethorpes down the seafront for a drink and something to eat , plenty of places around the high street and marketplace
I guess we shouldn't really complain since we ****ed you guys off last year because we got a better offer.
I ended up parking on some industrial estate which was about a 40-minute walk to the ground, not the 20 which some coppers told me. Anyway, it was a nice enough stadium with over excited stewards.
Shame Fenty did not say why it was £12. Well at least the money is going to a good cause. I am looking forward to seeing how Liam Hearne plays. I wonder how many of our kids will play tonight as there is another game @ Bridlington tomorrow. 3pm.
Last time I was there in the pontoon end (?) seeing City relegate the Mariners - not sure of the year but Horton was manager and Saville & Jobbo scored - this win meant if we got a point in our last game at home to palace we would also be safe - we won 3-0 I believe. Their manager at the time was I believe Mick Lyons and their supporters hated him.
Pfft. For two years I've stood by Simpson despite the majority of fellow supporters thinking he should leave. For the whole of those 24 months, you've been banging on about how totally useless he is. And you have the audacity to call us lot sheep.
