We have, this afternoon, been advised that our fixtures against Grimsby Town and Forest Green Rovers, on 9th and 25th August respectively, have been selected for exclusively live TV coverage by BT Sport. The game against Grimsby Town will now kick off at 12.45pm on the opening day of the season, while the game at Forest Green will kick off at midday. Rovers Ticketing information for the Forest Green match will be announced as soon as possible.
Well that's no good for me I'm going to miss the fricking Grimsby match won't get home from work until 2 Least I can watch FGR though
Still going to miss the FGR match ;-( but we could be top of the league by 3pm on the first day of the season
yes but not that much. but then we could lose money where grimsby may not bring as many where kick off earlier and now on tv so could lose on gate receipts etc. also long distance travelling gasheads may not come now too. so we may even make a loss for being on tv.
BT sports, so far, have only announced their live games (for the conference) just for the month of august. 3 conference games and we have 2 of them. not bad.
Especially when you consider our record when live televised matches are involved. Think the only recent one that bucked the trend was vs AFC Wimbledon.
it is for exiled gasheads. also the conference see us as a big fish in the pond. i was hoping to stay under the radar!!
The club would have been hoping for a good crowd for the first fixture. Now on TV and an early KO. I don't think that's good news!
Anyone know how much BT pay for televising a game compared to Sky for League 2 games? Good luck for a flying start!
all we need now is them to actually offer banter on the banter thread not the crap they are currently offering
