"This club is going places. It's got a good, young, ambitious manager in Derek McInnes. He may have only been in management for five years but he's held in very high regard around Britain. "I saw the job he did at St Johnstone in getting them promoted to the Scottish Premier League and then achieving a high position in the top division. He came down here and did superbly keeping Bristol City in the Championship. "I can't wait to start working for him and his staff" Isn't it fantastic to see a Pro players perspective of the potential of our manager, I have a good feeling about Derek Mcinnes and I really hope he can do enough, quickly enough to appease the impatient crew who will be so quick to criticise should we not be winning in a 'Barcelona Style' by a four goal margin every week. He has quickly spotted the squad weaknesses and is pulling out all the stops to address them, the academy is getting a shake up, and he performed a minor miracle in turning around a side that was seemingly plummeting out of this league last year. I really dont know why I share Gregs confidence in Delboy but I am more confident in this manager than any other we have had in the last 30 years, you can all shoot me down if I'm wrong. (I'm sure you will too) its just an instinct thing.. Better days ahead is my guess, but it may take a little while, but my god, anything is better than what we had surely?
Agree hopefully the sign of things to come,we need to see more quality arrive, then see it delivered on the pitch week in,week out, then we can all start believing again. Lets be fair it has been poor this last few seasons. Del is stamping his mark on the club slowly but surely long may it continue.
Yes. Exactly what we needed, and hopefully with more to follow. A dominating McManus type centre back would be good, and frankly I prefer McManus to Keough. Dont forget, Coventry got relegated last term. However, it has given us all a bit of a lift, knowing a bright young thing wants to play for City and commit himself for 4 years of his career. So we DO have a future after all
well im glad he thinks that, but what else was he going to say? personally now i hope we get Scott Loach, McManus and Keough/Gerrard. Suso, Davidson, McCormack New starting XI next Year ----------------Loach Foster Gerrard McManus Cunningham Adomah Elliott Davidson Bolasie ----------------Suso ---------------McCormack Bench Gerken Fontaine Carey Skuse Pearson Morris Stead sounds good.... No
Defiantly MaCormack,Macmanus,Gerrard. I'm not to sure about Keogh has he changed that much since he left us.this is the big question?
yeah neither am i, thats why i put keough/gerrard im not saying that keoughs not good enough but he was part of a relegated team? the only thing that keeps me interested is the likes of leeds and cardiff bidding as well
Gerard is not allowed to take penalties mind And I agree with you Banky, at least me and you can say told you so to the doubters
hey Hey HEY!! I BELIEVE TO, When we are the surprise package for promotion this year, ill tell you all that you were wrong.....Did anyone see that plane
I like the team Shiny apart from I'd swap Skuse in for Elliott and Skuse would be restored to team captain and... maybe find a left winger who is left footed and can cross the ball
If we get just one more I think we can be happy about the close season Personally I hope we get that Burnley centre back and McManus. They both looked solid last season. That would be a defence capable of a top 10 finish, and if we can land that Liverpool wunderkid for the season then that could put us top 6 Amazing what one signing can do for moral isnt it
Wasn't the Suso thing made up by some bloke on otib? Realistically we MUST get a GK, CB and ST GK - Myhill CB - Craig Dawson/Keogh/Amougou ST - Hume Would be my picks. Another CM and LM would be great though after those three positions are sorted.
