I 'spose I'd better wish you all a happy New Year as January generally starts your annual slide down the ladder. Good luck to you all for 2020.

Cheers you old geezer. I hope you had a good one and not too the worse for wear. I'm still too afraid to put my head down as the room keeps spinning when I do.

It's more in SA, Vic and NSW at the moment we are both in Queensland. We had fires earlier but recently it has got cooler, we've had a little rain and so along the coastal 50 -100 km it isn't too bad at the moment.

    Cheers

Glad to hear it. All us Irish have relations over there and been following the news carefully. Scary stuff. Hope those fire fighters are well paid. Unreal job to have

The rural firefighters are volunteers and get paid nothing. They are sometimes compensated by their employers but if they are one man bands, tradies etc they get nothing and their business can go under. The government has recently said they will pay up to A$6000 (£2700) to volunteers. Hell of a job they do really

Happy new year Brizzie, where's the rest of you lot? Surely doing to well to be hiding in Germany.

Happy New Year, even if yet again all of you convicts got the timing wrong. May every arse you encounter this year be lubed and ready.
