The best thing to say at the start is to remember we got 3 points.

This was a game of two halves if ever there was one. Argyle started brightly against not the worst side I've seen at Home Park. But, Argyle had most of the play in the first half and how Morgan didn't manage to score one is a mystery to me. Their keeper kept them in the match on several occasions and it should have been at least 3 - 0 by half time. The penalty was won by Morgan who had been very lively. Reid stepped up and tucked it away with no problem. A deserved lead.

They went off for halftime and somewhere along the line somebody switched all the players. Argyle were never really in it in the second spell. Rochdale passed it about and Argyle chased shadows. When they did get the ball they hoofed it out of defence to nobody in particular and it wasn't long coming back. With 20 minutes to go I seriously could not see Argyle winning this game. How Rochdale didn't score is another mystery. Not that their finishing was up to much which might have been the reason. McCormack was our keeper and he did everything he had to do well enough. He comes for crosses and gets them mostly which is novel in itself. When the final whistle went it was a relief instead of a great celebration.

The Officials today were pants and seriously up to normal league 2 standard. On a couple of occasions I couldn't see what he had blown for and on others could not see why he hadn't. The lino on my side of the ground missed a few and gave a few hat weren't. On one occasion the Ref blew for offside and then the lino raised his flag. Bizaar to say the least. I always thought it was supposed to be the other way around.

Will finish where I started. We got 3 points which is more important than anything else.

It's reasonable I suppose to assume that the Rochdale manager kicked bottoms and made changes at half time, so maybe we're back to the "second half syndrome" and being able to combat new tactics from the other side. Perhaps that will come with time as Sheridan knows his players better & they know him and each other.

It's all early days: we went up 3 league places from 12th to 9th during the 2nd half without scoring a goal as other results changed!

As you say, 3 points won is the main thing. When did we last get back-to-back wins I wonder?

I'm not so convinced it was about Keith Hill kicking butts notdistant. It was more a case of Argyle stopping doing what they did best in the first half so we changed for the worse and Rochdale stayed the same. We allowed them back in it not that they were totally out of it in the first anyway. Some of our players looked knackered after 10 minutes of half 2 whereas Rochdale maintained their pace. It was 3 points and I keep telling myself that but we were a bit fortunate to get them all. If Rochdale had a nailed on finisher it might have been different and that maybe was their downfall.

Does not matter how the 3pts. come but at least it never sounded a too drab of a game. Need to get out of this league asap.

Hi bedoboy. I agree that 3 points is 3 points however you get them. If they won the next 42 by the same score then I'd be happy enough.
