Charles has already played the bigotry card to win favour with sevconians and they have responded to the Carson like call in droves, if their web site is to be believed. However, Charlie bhoy cannot lose. He will build SEVCO up, selling it to them as rfc, which he claims to have resurrected. He is signing players in a manner which does not make financial sense. So what is his motive. Well it could simply be a commercial exercise in the interest of his ghost backers, whoever they may be. He will mid way through the season present a share issue to the FF brigade, on the grounds that this is similar to Barca etc. £1000 min share purchase to 40,000 of the loyal will bring him in £40M. He will of course be asked what he intends to do with all the cash, as the loyal will suspect tht he is about to bolt. Various stories may be given, but he will tell them that this is now their club and having resurrected them from the dead, the club is now safe from predators in the hands of he fans. When the loyal get the chance after his departure to look closely at the accounts could it be that the signing of these players would mean that the club is operating at a loss?? If on the other hand, the loyal do not buy into the share issue, Charles the saviour simply closes the club down and the housing developers move in while he decries them for lacking faith in him and that they, the fans have scuttled HMS SEVCO Is this possible or probable?
I can't see him getting anywhere near £40m in a share issue, I may be wrong but I doubt it. If he was to sell shares the fans will know that they will not be worth the paper they are printed on. As he has managed to convince most everyone that Rangers are debt free why would anyone in their right mind pour money into their club when they see a debt free club? The message he's sending out with Malcolm Murray is that everything is rosy in the garden, but he's like a swan, calm on the surface but frantically paddling behind the scenes.
It appears Green has all the rift raft low-life that has always supported Rangers in behind him just now. However they are not bonded together with super-glue and could easily move off in doves to that idiot Bomber Brown or Sandy "marching" Jardine. How ever Green's biggest problem is that the Professional people and business people who used to give some level of decency and finance to support the club of old were all lost by the time Murray had ceded control. Murray's methods were seen through by these people who would know the difference between right and wrong. These people were further appalled by the actions of Whyte and of course seeing Jim Park at Green's side during the first two matches hasn't put Green in good light. Just as Murray finally couldn't manage without the "money people" supporting Rangers, neither could Whyte and neither can Green.
