Tonight the Chairboys host the Grecians for their third encounter of 2013 and the second at Adams Park the first being a disappointing 0-1 defeat for the Chairboys against the 10 man Grecians on New Years Day funny enough we seem to play them a lot over the festive season with a visit to St James Park on New Years Day 2014 and a pleasing 3-1 win at Adams park Boxing Day 2011 our last encounter was a comprehensive 2-0 win in the paint pot at St James's back in September lets hope for more of the same tonight. After a poor first half against Chesterfield on Saturday changes to the starting line up are likely and just as a reminder Sam Wood is a left winger Billy Knott is a centre mid and Dean Morgan is our most talented forward enough said.
im pretty certain gaz cant allow billy knott on the wing again after Saturday, so I think dunne will come back in and wood will be pushed forward. central midfield could be anyone really, gaz may drop knott but that leaves us with lewis and scowen therefore possibly a lack of creativity which knott may bring..... morgan will probably start as well, ahead of McClure hopefully as I think morgan and craig is our strongest strike partnership. we need to start winning again and start getting results at home, this is the perfect game to do it.... 2-1 blues
Happy Birthday mate how many is that now It was Blue soldier's birthday yesterday spoke to him he's fine
Lost count Guy. Belated Happy Birthday to Blue Soldier. Good luck tonight. Can't listen in as I've been forced to go out tonight.
If you don't win you can have a whine, and if you do win you can have a wine. If her indoors will let you of course.
sounds like we got a bit of fortune for a change with the manner the goal was scored! lets build on this COYB!!! on a sidenote, embarassing how empty the stadium seems to be according to twitter and player! Exeter fans that you can hear on player are amusing me though
I'm missing tonight Daughter moving house tomorrow got half her house it my car/van also in work early up at 5am
1-1 , Wycombe have missed some decent chances, why the hell can we not see games out!?!?!?! getting very concerned now
They started off well yesterday. Showed some real fight and skill and looked up for it. That was until just before half time. They then seemed to just want to sit back and absorb the pressure. Second half they just couldn't be bothered and it got really scrappy. It wasn't until Exeter equalised and then nearly scored again that they suddenly came to life. Mostly thanks to Stretchmark and PCH. Last 5 minutes they had around 6 strikes on goal. A few came very close too. Just seemed like another Wycombe performance. But yes. Very quiet in the stadium with not that many fans.
4 things are really irritating me at the moment about Wycombe - our lack of consistency - our inability to hold onto a lead once the clock ticks past 80 minutes - gaz not wanting to start with 2 wingers, or even a more creative CM such as spring - timewasting. its something I felt we initially got unfair criticism for but from what I've heard (I cant really get to home games atm) its now getting absolutely ridiculous and we are getting a reputation for it. timewasting in the dying minutes of a one goal lead, fair enough but earlier on in the game you should be attacking and looking for a second sort it out gaz!!!! were not really a bad side, the centre of defence, central midfield and strikeforce are all strong and this squad is capable of play-offs if we can start to pull it together a bit!
Pretty pointless really but, if you took away the goals we have conceded in stoppage time, where would we be in the table.
