Greaves' stance over his fall out with the club, softened once Alan Gilzean decided to reacquaintance himself with the club. It is also rumoured that the Daily Mail journalist, Martyn Samuel helped smooth the way for Jimmy to return.
Greatest British goalscorer of all time and top 5 in the world ever in my opinion, well deserved and would have been in years ago but for his fall out.
Danny Blanchflower received a blue plaque the other day, too: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-32076458
Seems an odd date to choose. Middle of the week and there's no game, either home or away. I wonder if the club will have the sense to involve the Hull game on the Saturday at WHL in some fashion? It might be fitting, as it's our last home game of the season.
These inductions are separate corporate events PNP. They are one-off commercial events and are kept away from match days. Our last home game of the season is taken up with POTY awards.
In another year, Lloris or Eriksen would be strong contenders, but for now POTY is the least of the Boy wonders expectations. Surely Ballon d'Or is a shoe in?
So what does the "P" stand for, then? (Answers on a postcard, please!) I presume it's not "purchase". Maybe "plonker"?
The prices for this event range from £150 plus vat per person up to a staggering £350 plus vat per person. And you have to pay for your own drinks from the bar.
