    Here are my top 3:

    1. Barca 2-2 Chelsea. An ageing Chelsea come from 2-0 down with TEN MEN and NO CENTRE HALVES v the greatest club side. And possibly end an era.
    2. Juve 2-3 United. United come from two down v Zidane and co.
    3. Liverpool 3-3 Milan in Istanbul (despite Gerrard's dubious pen). Parked the bus brilliantly apart from 7 mins.

The order is up for debate but wouldn't disagree. United fans may point to the 99 final but I think that was a smash n grab rather than good performance.

Has to be Istanbul first surely?

I know I'm speaking subjectively but... It was a final. It was 3-0 at half time. That Milan side was the closest in talent to the Barca team you beat last night there's been in a while. Kaka, Pirlo, Nesta, Maldini, Crespo at their peak, as well as Dida, Cafu, Ambrosini, Tomasson etc. Class team.

Dida, Cafu, Maldini, Stam, Nesta, Gattuso, Seedorf, Pirlo, Kaka, Shevchenko, Crespo.

That is a team and half, quality from top to bottom.

The fact it was a final is a good shout for it to be number 1. However I would point to the fact it still went to pens where as we actually beat Barca (over 2 legs) and we played for so long with 10 men and whilst missing our first 3 choice centre backs.

Any way you shake it, both 2 of the greatest performances ever in Europe, certainly in my lifetime.

Barca are better than both of those teams. We were down to 10 men for over half the game and we were 2 down.
    Oh, and we were away.
Pretty obvious which was the greater achievement to me.

Playing away v 13 men is another disavantage.

As the mice say themselves they had 45k Scouse willing them on: a 12th man.

Also we had no centre halves v the best attacking side the game has seen and lost our captain; I think Carra played the full 120 mins

I have to say without question for me it was Istanbul. For a team to be down and out with 45 minutes to go and then eventually lift the cup at the end of the night is truly miraculous, especially against that Milan team.

I'd probably agree with the Op, but in reverse order as others have said.

All 3 of them games were great performances. Slightly bias but it has to be Istanbul for me, our team that night was nothing compared to Milans, we even had Traore playing <laugh> 3-0 down at half time and Milan were unplayable the first 45 minutes, and that double save from Dudek from point blank range in the last 5 minutes of extra time was unreal. I'm sure Chelsea V Barcelona will go down in history as one of your greatest nights though, especially if you manage to win the whole thing too. <ok>

Could it be Chelsea's best ever/most important win? No disrespect or anything meant, you've probably had huge wins I'm simply unaware of.

That Dudek save was something else... He was such a bizarre goal keeper, some days Iker Casillas, some days Roy Carroll.
