A great three points that seemed to me
Though I doubt that Warnock would agree,
And though the red card
Made life for them hard
At the time, we´d edged back in the spree

Until Barton scored on the day
The play had been going one way,
From our goal to theirs
And to be in arrears
Was much against the run of the play

It wasn´t the reddest of reds
But if you do go head to head,
And show some intent
You can always be sent
For an early bath, I would have said

And had the boot been on the other foot
I´m sure Barton too would have put,
His hand to his head
And expected red
To have fallen, so case firmly shut

That stupid incident apart
I thought we looked good from the start,
A slick passing game
Kept us in the frame
And all the new boys played their part

A great strike from Pilkington too
It was so good, Kenny could do,
Not that much at all
But retrieve the ball
So his own lot could kick off, anew

But he who impressed me so much
I think, was Ayala whose touch,
And composure shone through
When QPR threw
What they had, for one who is such..

..a young lad, still finding his feet
He became more and more hard to beat,
As the game went on
Not easy to con
And looked able to handle the heat

It´s never that easy to open
Other teams, even if down to ten,
Patience was key
And a belief that we
Would tire them down at the end

But from a gem from Taarabt A
Ruddy made the save of the day,
At a crucial time
With things on the line
Throwing himself to palm away

It proved vital as it it turned out
As the next chance we weren´t going to flout,
Pilkington crossed
Morison lost
His marker, and there was no doubt. OTBC

Enjoy your week all,

Yours

great stuff. i have to say that the red card helped qpr. we were in total control of the match, were far the better team and despite being a goal down i felt it merely a matter of time before we got the equaliser and went on to win. the red card gave qpr that sense of injustice and spurred them on to play much better 2nd half.

probably out most important 3 points of the season so far <ok>

Hi RBF! As always, an enjoyable read! I won't add much more, suffice it to say, I'm still recovering from my part-time policing effort <ok>

<rose><rose><rose><rose><rose>

Yep, I´m sure there was plenty of that to get through last night.

and Superman - psychologically a very important three points <ok>

Hi RBF bor, ain't it exciting being a Canaries fan ! Nice start to the New Year despite the controversy surrounding our victory. Hang on while I reach for my tin hat in case a QP Whinger takes a pot at me. LOL.

Those who sup with the Devil should use a long spoon.

Brilliant verse as always, looking forward to your next endeavour. On the ball City, never mind the danger. LOL.

PS. After what Warnock said about van Persie recently and Barton's theatricals in getting an Arsenal player sent off, Warnock is quite correct . . . cheats never prosper !

Evening NORKIE, Can´t really think they´ve got much to complain about, when your captain´s such a mug, what can you expect?
