I must admit it gave a shock When not one, but both centre-backs, Went off after taking a knock I expected to see a few cracks But not a bit of it, I´d say With Martin and Naughton in there, We continued to look, on the day In control with not much to fear But the goals we´d threatened so long Seemed like they might never arrive, The chances we did have went wrong But that didn´t dampen our drive And sure enough, eventually Surman A. cracked a beauty in, And Pilkington then joined the spree To ensure a comfortable win Which was good over Bolton who´ve been Improved lately, and not undone, That often, so well done the team And to Martin R. with his ton And on any other good day We might have scored four, five or six, But these points we deserved for our play Which keep us still well in the mix So that is double number two And still not through February yet, Great stuff by Lambert and the crew Especially after a night to forget. OTBC Enjoy your week all, Yours,
Hi RBF! What Maestro said! No surprise there, you're always on the money, and I think we agreed on another thread, that PL and the boys would deliver!
We did dave, but they certainly were determined to turn up today, and what a revelation Bennett E. was at RB, at least we have now got some qualified cover at CB if PL thinks we need to use it. Great performance, great win, I had the misfortune to have to watch Stoke v Sunderland in appalling conditions, and the game lived up to the conditions, I´m afraid.
Hi RBF bor, three good points from a team below us. Hope our two central defenders can be patched up in time for the Swansea game; although we are well served in that department. Can you get that magical power of verse to get our players fit. LOL.
NORKIE, I´ll do my best But Swansea will be quite a test, A good game to view Most likely, from two Upstarts who´re surprising the rest.
