I have unashamedly knicked this topic off Charlton Life as I think it would make a great thread. Myself I love driving to ZZ Top, especially
Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "Sharp Dressed Man". What's your favourite driving song ?

    Great thread.

Don't have a favourite driving song, Rifleman - I'll drive to anything.

But I do have a 'Keep Awake' disc...

Waiting for the Bus - ZZ Top
Rocking in the Free World - Neil Young
Skin Receiver - Melissa auf der Maur
    Razamanaz - Nazareth
    This Flight Tonight - Nazareth
    Easy Living - Uriah Heep
Wasteland of the Free - Iris DeMent
    Misery Business - Paramore
Layla - Derek and the Dominoes
    Kill Floor - Galactic Cowboys
End of the Day - Lucy Kaplansky
    Davidian - Machine Head
A Town Called Hypocrisy - Lost Prophets
    Spirit of Radio - Rush
Constant Illumination - Funeral for a Friend

That gets me to the next service area for a kip and a coffee. :emoticon-0113-sleep :emoticon-0162-coffe

I adore the works of Waldo de los Rios. An Argentinian composer who specialised in rearranging the works of the classic composers and 70s pop music. Tragically, he killed himself in 1977 at a young age after suffering acute depression.

His Mozartmania is a work of pure genius. For more modern pieces check out his magnificent re-working of 'Je t'aime...moi non plus' and 'Sitting on the dock of a bay.'

He also provided the sublime version of Schubert's Unfinished Symphony for the Smurfs.

    Beautiful Day by U2.
Play it last up on every trip to the Valley (full blast)
Driving to work - soft rock (ELO) or Shania Twain (I could share my bone with her)
Amazingly (Ackworth) I also give the Quo a blast, especially if we win.
Sorry I am not cultured like Ponders

Aside from classical music, I equally love Led Zepp, Fleetwood Mac, Morrissey, GnR, the Doors, Nirvana and many more...

I generally blast out some Bon Jovi tunes walking in to work to get myself pumped up for the day

I also sometimes like to d/l songs i've heard played at The Valley on winning matchdays for that winning feeling
