http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11195148.Boruc_closing_in_on_club_record/?ref=mac Apparently Boruc is one of the top PL goalkeepers when number of clean sheets and minutes per goal are determined. Second only to Cech for number of clean sheets. I know he has been good for us, but have to say that that surprised me. Also an accolade for defence in general.
Oh no he's had a good season, he must be following Lallana, Shaw, Morgan, Lovren, Chambers out of the door.
I've always rated him highly, shame about his injury this year. Think he lost some fitness. We need a better back up but don't see the need to replace him outright.
He was a bit naughty at the Awards evening...when asked if he had to work hard to keep the gloves, he said, 'Wasn't that hard.'
Great keeper who's had a good season, but his distribution has worried me witless at times. If he could only stop those disengage moments when his brain and feet aren't connected?
He alluded to it in an interview...what Mauricio wants him to do and his instinct are far apart. However, he should be able to change his style if requested to by the manager...perhaps he is a bit too laid back.
That's the thing which has really surprised me. When he finally got the first choice in goal, he was so quick with his throw outs, and and started many a counter-attack. This season he seems to never look beyond the back four, except to find touch at the halfway line from a goalkick.
Didn't we score at home recently when he threw it out to Davis who slipped someone in? Can't recall the game; Newcastle maybe?
Think it was Newcastle. Although Davis didn't slip someone in - he hoofed it over the top and Lambert and Rodriguez took advantage of Newcastle's pathetic attempt to play offside.
