I tuned in to watch some of the 2nd half and pessimistically, was just thinking that the worst would probably happen when he was being brought on but thankfully, as you say, he survived without any damage. He had a glorious opportunity to win the game at the end for Scotland but to be honest his shot was very predictable. The angle was very poor so I think he should have gone high rather than low across goal but hindsight is wonderful ...
 
That was awful. One up front at home against mediocre opposition, what's that all about?

Our next away games we will doubtless be even more overly cautious and deploy no strikers, like we did before.

Why keep our most destructive player, Forrest on the bench? Utterly pointless, he showed in bursts what we should and could have been doing all game by actually making their goalie get his gloves dirty.

I'm sure Levein will tell everyone we wre playing a 4-3-3 but Stevie Wonder could see the wide players were not getting forward enough, they were more interested in covering their players runs.

Getting hacked off watching Scotland under Levein, the man is just not up to the job, I thought he was a decent appointment at the time but he's a disaster, far too passive for our style. If he loses on Tuesday he's a dead man walking and will probably go before the campaign is over. If the SFA can get their act together they should get Strachan.
 
I think, to be fair to him, there was a real danger, the longer the game went on, that if he threw players forward they could be hit on the break and lose in the end. The play did look a bit too defensive-minded, however, (a bit like watching a dead club in Europe not so long ago) and he's never going to win games if he doesn't take a risk at some stage. As you say, the opposition was mediocre so he probably should have gone for it today.

i have already gone past the stage of getting hacked off. levein is ****ing clueless. i hope we do not qualify for brazil as we will show ourselves up. how kenny miller can still get a game i will never know. naismith showed us that he is still a horrible little ****.

i was pleased that it was the international break as it gave the injured players an extra week off
 
To go back on topic, does it really matter who is in charge of the Scotland team. The proper structures just have never been in
place and I think no matter who is in charge, first he hasn't got a talented squad, second no Scottish Manager has ever been
allowed to have a consistent run of selection. The SFA seems to exert pressure were they shouldn't be allowed and traditionally
all Scottish fans have not given their whole hearted support to certain Scottish players. Players playing internationally deserve
the complete support of all their fans.
