Which gives both clubs credit for the last two seasons - and heralds the way both are shaping up for the future http://hereisthecity.com/2013/07/13...ng-swansea-city-all-the-way-in-race-to-be-b/?
I do think its to early to judge our relative improvement against other teams, although granted we are getting good business done.
agree with bath. too early to tell. i think ourselves, saints and swansea have all made great strides so far and look as though there could be more to follow
Predicting season finishes is a dodgy gamble, given that we don't know what injuries will happen to any side (like Surman and Ruddy last season), but CH is certainly building a squad with PL options at every position. Fer looks like a much better signing than Shelvey for that mid-field role, given his ability to break up play, make telling passes and surge forward in the attack. That he wants to emulate Yaya Toure says it all for me. I'm happy to anticipate further mid-table consolidation whilst hoping for more through quality attacking football.
another comparison for you: wanyama £12.5m; fer £4.3m. staggering that a player of fer's class can cost a third of one who is in my opinion, behind him in stature within the game
